Greetings from Grand Forks. Meet Walden, isn't he a handsome guy? Walden was very reluctantly surrendered due to family issues and absolutely no fault of his own. He is such a sweetheart and he rested his head on my shoulder in the car on the trip up here. He rode very nice in the car. He met his two fur foster brothers and played nicely with the resident golden (and resident golden is a grump). They ran around the back yard for awhile and then it was bath time. He didn't really like his bath but he sure is soft and smells wonderful. He is doing remarkably well with the miniature poodle. We don't have cats so I don't know how he would react to them. He is a big boy and hasn't had exposure to small children so a family with older children would be best for Walden.
He is an active two year old who, according to him, LOVES to go hiking in the woods and swim. He said he would love a family that either lives in the country or has a big yard that he can run and play in. He would love to have a lake near by for swimming. He said he even likes to ride in a canoe !! Sounds like he would be a great dog for anyone who loves the outdoors.
We are still getting to know Walden and will update you on how he is doing in a couple of days. If he sounds like someone you would like to meet please let placement know (placementragom [dot] org) and we will be willing to meet in St. Cloud. We know Grand Forks is kind of far away (especially from trees and lakes).
What a handsome boy!
