Winston 11-176 [1]

Please welcome Winston to the RAGOM family! He was found as a stray in Iowa, so not a whole lot is known about his history. The shelter gave him his name and RAGOM was happy to take him in to make sure he enjoys the golden life. He is a laid back dog that just captures your heart with his brown eyes. When we received him his fur coat was in rough shape which required a full body shave to clean things up, along with a deep penetrating shampoo bath. He was a champ at the self service dog wash and was up for anything including the air drying. The short shaved haircut makes him look like an adorable puppy, but a puppy he is not. The vet has estimated his age at 3 years old. We are pretty sure when his hair grows out it will match his rich golden red face and tail.

Winston came to us with kennel cough and with some rest and his medication he should be better in no time. Other than the shaved coat and the kennel cough Winston is in great health. He does need to gain some weight, currently 65lbs.

This big guy is just the sweetest. He loves to be right next to us and is a dream to walk! He is potty trained and has been trusted with free roam while we have been gone. During the last thunderstorm he was glued to my husband. It will be interest to find out if that was due, more to not feeling well or if Winston has thunderstorm anxiety.
