Please help us to welcome back Princess Abby! She was lovingly surrendered back to RAGOM due to some pending ACL surgery. I normally would wait longer to post something on a new foster, but I know Abby’s surrendering owner will be following her story and will love to see how she is doing! She is doing great! Thank you for all your love and excellent paperwork. Her transition into our care has been seamless, thanks to you.
Abby is an awesome dog. She is so sweet and loves to be petted, and pets she gets. She is a smaller purebred Golden Retriever around 65 lbs, around 8 years old. She is just the sweetest girl…I was scratching her face and ears when I flipped her right ear up and noticed the tattoo in her ear. I then thought, "Hey, I think she is related to a past foster of ours who was just as sweet!" Check him out: Preston 08-501 [2] . I am not sure if he is her brother or father? She looks a lot like him and the demeanor is spot-on. They were both originally rescued by RAGOM from a Puppy Mill in 2008.
Abby was so loved by her Mom! She is the best cared for foster we have ever had! Her teeth and ears are clean. Her nails and paw hair are trimmed. We plan to keep it that way too. I think Princess Abby is use to great care and LOVES any attention she can get. It is hard to believe this girl was ever afraid of people, with how she seeks out attention. Abby loves her bed and her Woodstock stuffed toy. She has already made herself at home here, so I have no doubt she will adjust quickly to her new adoptive home. Abby previously lived with a service dog and took her cues from him. It shows! I have been surprised how much she looks to our resident dog Ree for assurance. She will need another similar-sized dog in her adoptive home.
If you are interested in her, please contact your placement advisor and you could meet her. We will need to figure out what the vet recommend for her ACL before she can be adopted, but we are certainly open to meet potential adopters.
