In addition to LOVE this dog has the following requirements:
Entered Foster Care Fence Kid Friendly Another Dog Cat Friendly
7/30/2014  Boundary training  Yes  Optional  Not tested
This is the most recent information available; however, it may change as we learn more about the dog.

This will be hard to believe once you meet me, but both Avery 14-216 and I were abandoned in a dump as small puppies! Fortunately, some wonderful people found us, and we became RAGOM girls on July 30. Although we weren’t in great shape when we arrived, a few weeks, baths, great food, and lots of love have made all the difference in the world. After only a few weeks, I’m getting a bit chubby; have a beautiful, black, wavy coat; play; wiggle; and act very silly.

News Flash… Potty training is going extremely well when my foster mom and dad stick to a schedule and pay attention! Wake up, folks, I’m sniffing over here by the front door! I received a perfect bill of health from the vet on August 18, tipped the scales at 20 lb., and didn’t even make a peep when I was microchipped and given my first round of shots. My spay surgery is scheduled for August 30, but I have found the perfect hiding spot, so we will see if that surgery happens!

Peekaboo!

I love to play with other dogs of all sizes. I approach new dogs by letting them know I am no pushover by barking a lot (trying to sound tough!), but it only takes a few minutes before I make a new friend. I've been kid tested and approved, but would really appreciate it if children chilled a little and approached me with patience. I like to feel comfortable with new places and people before I relax and enjoy myself.

Here are some tidbits from my foster mom:

  • Goes easily into her kennel. Treats help!

Anna (right) and Avery

  • She is exhausted by 10:00 pm and sleeps in her kennel until 7:30 am with no accidents!
  • She really enjoys playing with other dogs.

Playing with the resident dog

  • Kid tested and approved, but Anna would do best with children who are able to understand a dog who needs a more patient approach.
  • Still a bit shy around new people.
  • Loves playing tug-of-war and fetch.
  • Loves walks and stays right by our side.
  • Loves treats.
  • Could spend hours chasing frogs and crickets.
  • Chews on everything. Who needs those brand new pumps for work? Ha ha.
  • Gets a serious case of the wiggles when she gets up in the morning and whenever she welcomes you home!

To be honest, I’m simply a wonderful puppy who needs a forever home. You’d love meeting me and remember to bring treats… lots of them!

As you catch a glimpse of my ridiculously good looks in the photos below, please remember:

  • Puppies, including yours truly, are a LOT of work in their first year!
  • Puppies NEED obedience, socialization, and manners training! RAGOM gets many unmannered and undersocialized dogs surrendered due to the simple lack of training and socialization when the puppy was young. This is a crucial time for me to learn about so many things.

It's mine!

Hi everybody!  I'm Anna!  I'm about 4 months old now, and I just went through another big change in my life.  My sister and I had to say goodbye to our amazing foster mom, who had nurtured us to our current fabulous health, and go stay with another lady, but she's pretty nice so far too.  She has these smelly cats and rambunctious kids, but she also takes us for long walks and gives us lots of love and treats, so it's ok for now.  I can deal with the kids and cats- I am a puppy- so of course I'm playful and like to nibble, but I know how to be gentle, and I listen well if you ever do need to remind me.  The only thing I can't resist is if something runs away from me- I just want to play- doesn't running = chasing?  Every puppy knows that.  I know I should go potty outside, and I almost always do!  But occasionally, if I haven't had a break in awhile, I might not hold it.  I'm still learning!  I'm still learning lots of things, like not jumping up on people and how to walk on a leash.  I already know how to sit on command though!

We went to a lake for the first time the other day, and I was really excited about splashing in the shallow water, but my sister wouldn't go in, so we decided to just play tag on the beach.  I think I would like to swim if we go back there again and have more time.  Well, it's been a little while since I've wrestled with my sister- I'd better go find her!

Anna and Avery here. Goldzilla was a blast! We were able to impress so many people! We even pretended that we were napping during the showcase so folks would know how mellow we are! LOL. All our fans kept saying how adorable and well-behaved we were.

Potty training is going so well. Five days and no accidents. Can we get a shout-out for such great bladder control? And did we mention how angelic we are at bedtime? We go into our kennel about 9:30 pm and just stare at our foster mom until she comes to close the door and bring our excellent bedtime snacks. We then snuggle in until 7:30 am.

Even though it was great meeting all our fans at Goldzilla, it was exhausting. Anna had a Goldzilla "hangover" all day, i.e. she just hangs over the couch! See the photo evidence below.
