Welcome York 15-027, a 7-week-old purebred Golden Retriever. York joins RAGOM with his littermates, Valentino 15-013 and Woody 15-026. They were part of a litter of nine puppies born to a home breeder in Sioux Falls, SD. York is around 9 lbs. now and will probably grow up to be a big dog. His father, Roscoe, weighs 70 lbs. and Mama was 60 lbs. He has gotten his first puppy shots and will need to be neutered before he can be adopted.

York is as cute as any Golden Retriever puppy can be and steals your heart just looking at his puppy eyes. He is laid-back and sweet. He and his brothers are playful and love to be held. He lived with many children and was handled a lot. Just what you want in a Golden Retriever pup. For a very young pup, York is good about letting me know when he needs to go out. He will be easy to house-train with this habit already in place.

If you are looking at this puppy, remember he will need someone who can give him lots of time, exercise, and training to grow up to be a good family or companion dog. And love, of course. Lots of love. Check with your placement advisor to find out more about York.

York/Benelli’s adoption is final. It was delayed due to medical issues with his neuter, but is now complete. He spends time with his adoptive mom at her job running a doggy day care. What a Life!

This week, York was nine weeks old and had another set of shots. He weighed in at 15 pounds and is growing taller. He is busy, busy wrestling with his brother, Woody. They are a hoot to watch and listen to.

A love match was made this Valentine’s weekend with York and his new family. They came to meet him and it went very well. York will be called Benelli, or Benny, for short, and his new family hopes he will learn to hunt with them. His new home has acres to run in, a lake, a boy, and another dog.

York/Benny’s adoption is pending until his neuter.

York is eight weeks old now and growing like a weed. He has a family coming to meet him. This week, he will also get another set of shots. Bath time last night returned him to the fluffy, sweet-smelling pup you want to snuggle with. Recent warm weather and thawing gave the pups the opportunity to dig and get pretty dirty. He was very cooperative and liked being snuggled in a towel. York is happy to retrieve balls and play tug-of-war. He is also happy to crawl into your lap and be loved. What could be better!
