Profile

Blossom was surrendered to RAGOM by a small commercial breeder because she has a grade 3 heart murmur. She is small for her age but is eating well now that her worms are being treated. She is very playful and happy. She is working on potty training and is doing appropriately for a young puppy. Blossom can live with children and other dogs. A physical fence is optional. More information on her medical needs will follow after her cardiologist visit.

You will be required to include your plans for Blossom's training, socialization, potty breaks, and exercise during the adoption application process. Please review our Puppies page and consider if your home and lifestyle will support these needs before applying to adopt a puppy.

Please welcome Blossom into the RAGOM family. She is an 8½-week-old female Golden Retriever, very light in color, and weighs 6 pounds (she is a small girl for her age). She is fostered in Frazee, Minnesota.

Blossom comes to us from a small commercial breeder. She was surrendered to RAGOM because she has a heart murmur (grade 3). She will see a cardiologist the first week of April. At that time I will have a better idea of what she will need medically.

Blossom also has a few types of worms. She is being treated for those and will be rechecked in three weeks to make sure we have it under control. This could be one of the reasons she is so small. She was not eating very well before she came into RAGOM'S care. She is eating great now but does prefer her food softened.

Blossom is a very playful and loving puppy. She loves her people and all the dogs in our home.

Blossom sleeps in a kennel at night and is keeping it clean and dry. She goes to bed at 9:30 pm. She will bark at about 6:00 am, I let her out to take care of her business, and then she goes back in her crate and sleeps until around 8 am.

When she is up and playing she does a good job telling me she wants to go outside. I do need to pay attention to her signals and let her out; she is not old enough to hold it. She will use a potty pad if I don't respond to her quickly. Potty training is a work in progress but she is doing great!

Until we know more about Blossom’s heart condition, she will be unavailable for adoption. Please watch for updates as we learn about her medical outlook.

Unavailable: Blossom is not yet ready to be adopted, and we are not currently accepting applications for Blossom. Please watch for her status to change to Adopt Me before you submit an Inquiry for Application or, if you've already submitted an Inquiry for Application, before you email our application team.
