I am happy to report that Bonnie and his brother Clyde have found their forever home. I will miss Bonnie's enthusiasm for squirrels and wrestling.

Bonnie weighed in at 72.6 pounds yesterday. I feel she is at an ideal weight, but she looks dwarfed by big brother Clyde. They received a new rope pull the other night and have a great time tugging with each other. Even though Clyde is almost 50 more pounds Bonnie gives him a big fight. These two are just great companions and are going to make a family very happy.
Thanks to Lucas and Brianne H for the paw.

I am happy to report that Bonnie is now adapted to walking with a gentle leader. It is now very pleasant and easy to walk her and Clyde with both leashes in one hand.

Bonnie attended Goldzilla. She loved all the human attention. I have learned that she has Clyde serve as her protector. He tends to get snarky when other dogs approach into their space. when alone with Clyde she is usually the instigator of wrestling matches and holds her own.
She is quite the thief of neighborhood tennis balls. She will drop these balls if told they are not hers.
They have already learned what spaces in our house are off limits and generally follow the rules.

Bonnie is a very happy 2.5-year-old purebred Golden Retriever. She has lived her whole life with big brother Clyde 17-030, so she will need to be adopted with him. She is the more energetic of the 2 of them, but is easily calmed if you rub her belly. She is quite the snuggler, so you will need one free hand most of the time. They can get kind of crazy wrestling with each other, but are easily calmed, and most of the time, you would think they were much older.
Bonnie is a little obsessed with chasing shadows, leaves, bugs, or anything moving. She would really like to catch a squirrel or rabbit, so she needs a firm hand when on leash. She is totally housebroken and is not destructive. She does get anxious when left without Clyde.
She will need some training to walk better on leash and to be better behaved when greeting people.
