We've fostered quite a few dogs over the course of the last year and a half, and it's sometimes tough to keep track of all of the dogs who we've had in and out of our home over that time, but sometimes a foster dog will become so special that he or she will leave a lasting impression and will forever have a place in your heart. That is how we would describe Boone. He was an extremely special dog, and we love him tremendously. We contemplated keeping him in our home forever, but if we adopted him, we knew it would probably end our ability to foster for quite some time--and we know that there are so many more dogs who need to come into RAGOM, that we didn't want to make that decision too soon. We had said that if the absolutely perfect family came along, we would know. Well, that's exactly what happened. We met the "S" family on Sunday, and Boone stole their hearts about as quickly as he stole ours. We knew right away that this is the family in which Boone belonged: with a little 4-legged Chihuahua brother, 2 feline siblings, a little 2-legged sister, and a doting mom and dad who will keep him active and give him so much love. We are also so excited that Boone will only live about 30 minutes away from us, and we hope to see him every once in a while :-).
I received the picture below less than 3 hours after Boone arrived home with his family last night. I think it's safe to say he's pretty relaxed, well-loved member of his family. Thank you so much to the RAGOM fosters and volunteers who helped Boone along his journey, and to his surrendering owners who made such a tough decision when you surrendered him to RAGOM.
Thanks to all of you, Boone is ready to spend the rest of his days as an official member of the "S" family!
