Sully is an extremely handsome 10 month old Golden Doodle. He is a beautiful Golden color and his fur just shines! Sully was neutered a week ago today. He has not cooperated one single bit in making sure that he does not pull his staples. Did anyone tell him that he needs to take it easy for 14 days? If they did he is not listening.
While Sully looks like a dog- he is all puppy. He mouths, he does not know how to tell you he needs to go out, he pulls on the leash, he jumps 5 feet in the air out of excitement when meeting another dog on the trail, he puts anything and everything in his mouth, he plays like a maniac. All of these things can be fixed with training, but it is going to take work. Lucky for Sully he is cute!
With work, obedience classes, firm rules at home- Sully will blossom into a wonderful dog. I suggest a home with a fenced in back yard, and no small children. He likes children- which means to him that it is good to jump on them and lick their faces. One would think I could have controlled the situation better- but he was on the gentle leader and he only got away from me for a few seconds when the kids were visiting- enough to cause the 3 children to screech in joy/terror- I'm going with joy.
If you are looking for a puppy challenge--- have some experience with training willful puppies- Sully is your guy.
