Copper 17-060 is approximately 4 years old. He was lovingly surrendered to RAGOM by a family who found him on-line. An older couple couldn’t manage him anymore, so this family “rescued” him from a life spent outdoors with a freezer as his doghouse. Unfortunately, the family knew their life was too hectic to keep him, so they surrendered him to RAGOM, knowing he would find a loving and safe home.
Copper is now up to date with his medical care and is now neutered. He is full of love and full of life. He took a while to settle in, but after his surgery, he settled in very nicely. He has discovered the bucket full of stuffed toys and tennis balls. He loves to run in the large fenced back yard, chasing squirrels and rabbits- this boy is fast!
He also tries his darndest to get his foster sister to play. He listens to her warnings very well, but still tries to get her to play. She gives in and will tussle with him for a while. She prefers to just lay next to him and doesn’t mind the “kisses” he gives her. She was really glad that he got neutered.

He is crated during the day while we are gone and started off being crated at night, but now gets to sleep where ever he wants- usually alongside foster mom’s side of the bed. He prefers the floor over a bed. He is housetrained and is good about going to the door when he wants out. You can tell that someone worked with him as he sits, shakes, lays down and stays pretty darn well. His recall is getting better now that he has been with us nearly 2 weeks.
He lived with 3 young girls and seems to love everyone that comes to the house. While he is learning not to jump up, he could easily knock over a younger child. He has some manners to learn. He pulls like a freight train on a flat collar and with a harness, but the Gentle Leader is amazing. He walks with a perfect heal and slack leash…what a wonderful invention. Thanks to his surrendering owner for finding this gem and for wanting him to find a home where he will have more time with his family- Thanks to RAGOM for bringing him in. He is going to make some family very happy.
