In addition to LOVE this dog has the following requirements:
Entered Foster Care Fence Kid Friendly Another Dog Cat Friendly
6/6/2013 Physical only Age 10+ Required Yes
This is the most recent information available; however, it may change as we learn more about the dog.

6/6/13:

Dazzling Daisy and her sister Lily 13-147 are from a breeder that is downsizing. They lived next to each other in kennel runs and most likely had several litters of puppies.

Daisy is petite, around 55#. Thanks to Rona, Daisy was brought up to date on all vaccines, and HW preventative. She tested negative for worms and was micro chipped. After her transport leg on Memorial Day and a backyard bathe & buff, Daisy is enjoying the pleasures living inside and the freedom to roam outside.  Autumn 13-004, our previous foster is from the same breeder. Autumn’s mom is totally in love with her and has only wonderful things to say. I am fostering Daisy because Autumn was a dream to foster and a very special dog.

Daisy came to me in heat (I was unprepared). So she wore pants 4 days before her spay. It was "pants on inside" "pants off outside" over and over until her surgery Friday. Dogs in heat are in constant stress, panting, pacing. Add confusion and fear and it was pitiful watching this beautiful, gentle dog in such turmoil. On the plus side, I think the pants are helping with house training. She is almost there. She snuck outside for this photo.

Daisy loves women and children.

She met the boy next door with tail wags and kisses.

She warms up to men after a couple minutes although she is a bit shy with foster dad. I think Heather is teaching her bad habits like barking at FD. She is learning to sit and take treats gently. We are working on OFF because she craves loving and human attention so much, she hugs. And she rarely leaves my side.

Daisy will be a fabulous addition to any family. Daisy ignores our cat, MiMi but occasionally they are side by side looking out the deck door. She loves our walks but since she is not used to a leash, crosses over in front of me, unsure where to go.

We’ll work on this if the sun ever shines again.

We get a little dollop of Daisy’s true personality every day. She is settling into the “golden life” routine. I’m not sure yet if she requires a fence. I think she would be fine without it, but we haven’t spent a lot of time outside lately.

Updates

Friday, February 14, 2014

Hi Everybody,

I was bathed and buffed before my forever family came to meet me.

We knew immediately it was a match cuz my moms have the same sox.

That's my new sister Sadie with her mom's foot and me with FM's foot.

This picture is at my new home.

Coincidentally, a rescue friend is making the same one for FM. Lots of tears that day.

My forever family:

When I'm not outside chasing in the snow paths with Sadie and mom, I sleep on one of the many comfy spots in my new home. I had the same blankie at my foster home.

A special last "Thank you" to my golden sponsor Bob Hotte and my friend, Clarice. Two "paws up & circle rounds" to Maverick and the anonymous holly donor. We hope you all have a "golden" Valentines Day. This rose is for you. ............................Love Miss Daisy

Today was a golden for Daisy at Katie & Robbie's. Outside play was fun for everyone until bootis were missing.  Most pet parent time was outside conducting booti searches and inside putting them back on.

Ever notice how dogs are always on the other side of the door............or do you suspect that is what they are thinking about us?

We stopped at the vet for a quick weight check. I am thrilled to tell you Miss Daisy is a perfect 50#.  She is short and petite even after many daily treats.

Mitten Mitten, I have a mitten. Thanks, Maverick. I miss you, too. I hope to see you, Robbie and Katie at the party next month.

We will practice Daisy's super cute circle rounds for her appearance at Coon Rapids Petco from 11-1 this Sat., Jan. 11.

Happy New Year!!

I am starting 2014 with a "golden" sponsor. Thank you, Bob Hotte.

It's great to have a sponsor and a tree to bring in the new year.

This weather is stupid-cold. FM is hibernating and we are all couch/pillow taters. I've helping FM downsize stuff. I keep my favorite stuff right here so they don't go away.

I help make the bed and clean the dishes before they're washed. I'm supposed to earn my keep cuz my lazy sisters, Meggers & Heather are giving "hibernate" a whole new meaning.

I'm hardly ever naughty except for today when I got caught chewing on a poopsicle outside. Wow, FM can really sail through that door with no coat or gloves and drag me back inside. Since I don't know how to kiss, my circle round softened that little ooopsie. FM says she melts when I do that.

In case you haven't noticed, I love belly rubs, anywhere anytime.

Belly rubs happen after a circle round or just because I need attention.

Stay warm & safe in this stupid-cold.  Thanks for checking in with me.........Daisy.

Merry Days after Christmas. We hope everyone had special times with family and friends. I have a special friend, Clarice. Thank you for my tree ornament. I remember you from Shakopee Chuck and Dons. You are very special to me.

Even in the cold, we go on walks. FM says it takes more time to get us ready than the actual block walk. First we get sox, then booties; jackets and finally neck stuff. By then we are exhausted & wait for FM to suit up.

Waiting for FM and the walk

Last week Pippin was our guest.

Festive Walk with Pippin

He is the elf guy. Ain't he cute?

I met with 2 families. Both had senior female dogs. We didn't get along. FM says I am a cougar. I like and get along better with younger boy furbutts. Which I know is silly, cause I will be a senior in February.

We hope you are warm and cuddling with your furbutts every chance you get.  If you wouldn't mind saying a prayer for all the furbutts existing outside without compassion and care, that would be great.

Have a golden 2014 everybody. See you next year.........Daisy Duke.

Hey All,
It's been too long since my last update. Foster mom has been taking me places like RAGOM adoption events and then she got this crazy idea about taking my picture with other Daisy dogs. Yup, every dog below has my name. The 2 Goldens are adopted RAGOM alumni.

Sunday, October 27, 2013

I spent a couple of weeks with my sister, Lily 13-147, and had a lot of fun at her house. Her yard is beautiful and her FM & FD are super. When we were on transport, we weren't getting along, but we are best sister friends now. Lily said the breeder liked me best because I was socialized better.

That is behind us now and we are enjoying the Golden Life.

I love car rides, stairs, big & little people, and I ignore cats. I share and never guard anything. I have excellent manners and recall. I'm really short, so I don't counter surf. I sit quietly under the food table and wait for tidbits from the FPs. I love Golden walks. This is my pack with Maverick (another RAGOM alumnus).

Speaking of sharing, after a RAGOM event, FM & me shared ice cream.

After that treat, we got a little exercise in the ball field. I am the center fielder. FM says that is the best place for me cuz I'm definitely not a catcher (unless it's cheese balls or salmon snacks..;-). I'd rather hang out with the pitcher than fetch a stupid ball.

I'm enjoying my chicken. This is the only chicken from China that is allowed here. Remember that dogs are getting sick and dying from those jerky treats.

I will be at the Shakopee Chuck & Dons this Sat. 11-1. I will be the "fresh as a daisy" - Daisy. Hope to see you there.....................Dazzin Daisy.

Ooops, I almost forgot to thank Clarice for the sweet donation last week. You are the best.

Miss Daisy has been busy since her last update. She is an excellent co-pilot in my SUV who never complains about my driving or sharing the seat with her foster sisters.

While breaking up a large branch that fell in our yard, I pulled a limb back, lost my balance and I fell backwards. Daisy was the only furbutt checking to see if I was ok.  She walked into my lap and covered me in kisses. Please note that Daisy does not give kisses during the day. She only kisses in the morning.  I was bruised and bleeding and Daisy stayed by my side until I stopped laughing and got up. The other 2 girls were a little confused, waiting at the deck door.

Daisy is social with people, kids and other dogs. She especially likes boy furbutts and smaller dogs but she ignored her spontaneous spouse at Paws on Grand.

The girls enjoyed cooling off at Golden Pond last month.

Miss Daisy is completely house trained and paws at the door when she needs to go outside. She does the silliest thing: She & Meggers are in the small dog yard and after Meg has done her business, Daisy waits until I have a shovel and rake in hand, making sure I watch her do her thing so I will immediately pick it up. It's so cute.

She's initiating play with Heather, zooming inside and around the yards on her own or chasing Heather. Sometimes it's a golden pile with the 3 girls wrestling and playing outside. She's started chasing a ball and occasionally even retrieves it. Daisy is showing interest in stuffies and de-stuffing them. Her personality is beaming.

Daisy loves her walks and car rides. Daisy sleeps in our closed bedroom on a cool piece of paneling in front of a fan. Around 7:30 AM she jumps on the bed with kisses and snuggles. She understands "10 more minutes." and "Go back to sleep." That buys me extra snooze time, but I can't always count on it with the other 2 girls. Daisy would be fine all night on free roam. I only close the door so our cat, MiMi doesn't get on the dresser.

Daisy takes waits her turn and takes treats gently and is starting to catch them.

Daisy & Meggers had a bath & buff last week. Her nail trim was quick & easy and trimming her tail and feathers were a breeze, too.

Daisy has been one of our best, easiest fosters. She is a gem and ready for her family.

Sunday, August 11, 2013

It has been FOREVER since my last update!  No wonder there hasn't been interest in me. Geeze. Well anyway, FM apologizes. Here is what's new in my life.

Foster mom is peddling (driving) me all over. She calls it "Driving Miss Daisy."

We attended my first event at the Edina Chuck & Dons. Here I am with my favorite RAGOM volunteer Jen.

And with my favorite RAGOM volunteer Rutager at Petapalooza. He is an excellent belly rubber.

The next day we went to Pride and I met a furry tail kid.

We sometimes go on 2 walks cuz the weather is perfect.

The itty bitty fur kid is Candy. I nursed her well after her spay and when she was sick. I loved and protected her just like I did my babies before my RAGOM golden life...

I have more photos and updates but its bedtime now so I will catch up with you again soon. Thanks for reading about me..............Daisy Duke
