Daisy 15-123

Profile

In addition to LOVE this dog has the following requirements:
Entered Foster Care Fence Kid Friendly Another Dog Cat Friendly
5/17/2015  Optional Not tested Preferred Unknown, but probably OK
This is the most recent information available; however, it may change as we learn more about the dog.

Little Miss Daisy is a very sweet 3-year-old, 30-pound Goldendoodle that is sure to be loved and hugged. She enjoys cuddling up beside you and touching you. She's very friendly with everyone and other dogs.

While not the smartest dog in RAGOM (she ran into a tree twice yesterday), she is a sweet lover. It took her a few days to figure out she wasn't trapped on the sectional when I was on the other side. She finally figured she could jump on the floor and go around.

She's starving for love and attention. She wants to cuddle next to you on the couch, and sleep touching you. Daisy shows a slight preference for women, but pretty much loves everyone. I think she's thrilled to be a RAGOM Girl.

I don't think she's ever been left alone, always with other dogs or people. Being an inside dog is new to her, but she's learned beds and couches are great things from my resident Duke. She hasn't been left alone often, but her howling cry can be heard outside. She wants to be with her people. She's not destructive (except to paper). Thus, she we be best with someone who's home most of the time, and/or another confident dog.

Daisy likes to play with balls, but probably never had anyone else to throw it for her. She rolls it around and pounces on them. Stick chewing and paper ripping up are other favorite activities. She leaves the retrieving to Duke, but is willing to help him carry it.

She enjoys car rides, but needs to be picked up and put into the car. She'll get out on her own, especially when women are walking by (incident at Target parking lot). It's something else that is new to her. She tries to play with my resident Duke, but he's 10 and isn't very interested in those young pups.

She's humorous to see running around the yard. She gets the zooms, and her gait can best be described as a series of boings, spreading her front legs out as if she wants to fly.

We're working on her leash skills. It's not that she pulls, but she is so happy and excited that she runs around your ankles a few times, and suddenly I'm all tied up.

She also is not house-trained. She knows her name, and is eager to please (plus very food-motivated). She's very capable of counter-surfing, and loves to tear up paper and is a sponge's worst nightmare.

Someone who is patient and loving with her will be well rewarded. She just loves to snuggle with people and other dogs. She has good recall and knows her name. Daisy knows the Golden nudge.

Contact your placement adviser as she'll likely go quickly to a loving home!

If she's still available, She'll be at the June 6th (Roseville) and June 7th (Edina) Chuck and Don's.

We adopted Daisy in August and have been having a blast with her ever since!  Her boundless energy is topped only by her ability to love and we adore her!  She excels at obedience training...when it suits her :p

We are forever grateful to RAGOM and her foster Dad, Bentley for bringing her into our lives!

Daisy has been all trimmed up and is even more beautiful!

She's had a pretty good month with a few Meet & Greets, friends coming over, Some playtime with other dogs.

She LOVES to ride in the car, and leaps right into the back of my SUV. Sometimes she leaps before I open the gate, and splats into the window. But she's learning.

Dinner/breakfast is her favorite time of day. She does dances as Dad may be a little slow in filling her bowl. She has absolutely no shame in helping herself to anything remotely in reach and finished off the rest of Mikey's 14-247 bag of food. Mikey has been visiting for the week and they get along pretty well. Daisy is a little frustrated as she REALLY wants to play, and Mikey wants to cuddle next to dad.

We are still working on house training. I'm pretty sure in her former life (or the lack thereof), she was rewarded for using carpeting. So bedrooms are off limits except while dad is in there. She's been doing great for 2-3 days, then backslides. Dad's Bissel spot cleaner has been getting a workout.

She also loves to chew paper/styrofoam/rawhide etc. Dad's shop vac is also getting a workout. She needs to have chew toys.

In many respects, Mz. Daisy is still a puppy. A very happy and joyful puppy. She has a fair amount of energy and enjoys bounding around the backyard trying to get my 10-year-old Duke 12-257 to play. She enjoys playing with balls, throwing them in the air and chasing them.

Daisy and Duke

She also seems to really like little girls. She just needs a family with a little patience and a lot of love.

It's difficult getting a good picture of her since she's often moving around, unless she's cuddling up next to you.

Ms. Daisy has been improving and is much more confident and happy-go-lucky. She loves running around the backyard and had massive fun with a friend's Puggle on Friday night. She loves to help Duke retrieve a ball, sometimes taking it from his mouth. He's incredibly patient with her and seems to enjoy her cuddles.

She walks like a dream, not pulling on the leash at all. She no longer runs around my legs, but calmly comes along, taking cues from my RD on what to sniff. I'm pretty sure she never was taken on walks in her former life and is enjoying them now. She was scared of the big yellow fire hydrant, and barked to warn Duke and I to watch out. Sad that she was 3 years old before seeing her first hydrant. She's hiding behind me at any sign of aggression from another dog or when something startles her.

She needs exercise. I tried taking a nap, and she got the zooms, with the track going across my pillows till I took her in the backyard for a more appropriate area.

We're still working on the house-training. She's not peeing, but it seems all she's learned is don't poop while dad is watching. She'll get it soon, I'm sure.

We were at the meet-and-greets in Roseville and Edina. There were several people interested in her on Sunday, but she was a little off with all the activity. She really wanted to be friends with Mikey, but he was protecting his mom from a too friendly and cute Doodle.

Dancing at the meet-and-greet

Friday, we have an appointment at the beauty salon. Her hair is a bit long and that will allow her to shine. Her hair is very soft and she loves being petted.

She's going to make someone incredibly lucky.
