We are introducing Miss Daisy. She is a beautiful 21-month old golden Lab mix. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. When she had her checkup at the vet, she was tested for Lyme's disease. She did test positive for Lyme's but is not showing signs of active disease. Since she was an outside dog and from a more rural area, Daisy was likely exposed in the past and more than likely it won't be an issue in the future.

Daisy is a very friendly, lovable girl. Since she did live outside previously, she is now learning how to be a house dog. We are working on her house-training and other house manners. Daisy is very smart and listens well. For now, we crate her at night until we know she is fully house-trained. Because of her age, she still has a good amount of puppy energy so crating her at night and also for a full work day would probably not be good for her. Aside from her daily walk, we do play with her several times throughout the day to help burn off some of her energy.

Daisy loves to go on her daily walk with our resident dog. We have been using a Gentle Leader on her so that she doesn't pull so hard. It won't take long for her to learn how to walk nicely as she picks up what we are teaching her pretty quickly.

Daisy would really like to have a nice fenced in yard so she can run and run. She has gotten our 12 year old resident dog to play again. Our dog doesn't have to move much as Daisy runs circles around her and then blasts off to race around the yard and back again. It's a lot of fun to watch her.

Daisy would love to find her forever family. She is an amazing girl!

Daisy has been with us for several weeks now and she has been such a fun house guest. She has been really good for our 12-year-old resident dog. Being a youngster, Daisy has kept us all motivated. Lots of play time throughout the day.

Daisy also likes to collect things at times. One day I looked over and she had a Byerlys bag in her crate. Apparently she was going to do the grocery shopping for the day. I would have really liked the help with that.

Daisy also loves to sleep with her bunny. That pink bunny has been one of her favorite toys and she carries it everywhere. It has remained pretty much intact. The mallard duck toy was not so lucky. I think that one lost a couple of feet one day.

Our Daisy girl is one sweet dog! Beauty and brains all in one yellow gold body with a tail that never stops wagging! More to come soon about Daisy's next adventure!
