It has been a couple of months with this great dog. She has been working hard training me the way she wants me to be. She is very afraid of storms, so she gets me out of bed and I get her "thunder shirt" on her and get my pillow and we go sleep in my closet. I think because she can't see the lightning that way. We have had many vet visits as we have had some medical issues.
Her and I have bonded and have gotten very close. I think after 9 plus years with a family that loved her and then having her life turned around with a move into foster care has left her scared. She is always by my side. In the morning when it is time to go to work she is waiting by the back door for me. She is in the best place any Golden can be with RAGOM, and after fostering 5 dogs I have decided to adopt this girl.
I thank everyone who may have considered her, and thank you to all the great people and friends at RAGOM who work so hard to give these dogs all they deserve. Dakota will live out The Golden Life filled with toys, treats, all the medical she needs and lots of love.
