Welcome to RAGOM little pup. Conall is one of six puppies born June 7 to RAGOM dog Maggie 15-119. Maggie is a mini Labradoodle. Father is unknown but may well be another Labradoodle. The pups look like little lambs with wooly coats and cute little ears.

Conall means faithful hound in Gaelic and he will surely grow up to be a good companion dog. He is one of the tan colored puppies in the litter and also one of the biggest. He was the last one born, has a large head and was eight inches long. He is still very young and his eyes haven’t opened yet. Conall is a very contented puppy like all of his littermates. Conall has a beautiful wavy coat which is likely to be non-shedding and pink nose.

Labradoodles were originally bred to be service dogs for people with allergies. Breeding Poodles with Labs provides a different coat but still a very intelligent dog who wants to please. These puppies are multi-generation crosses.

Keep checking back as Conall grows each week. He won’t be available for adoption until he is at least 8 weeks old and able to leave his littermates. He will also need to be neutered. If a puppy is what you are looking for, check with your placement advisor. If Conall is anything like momma, Maggie 15-119, he will be a wonderful dog.

We adopted Dobie (dough bee) aka Conal in August 2015.

He has adapted well to life in Aberdeen, SD and is a family and neighborhood favorite.

He is loving, sweet and as loyal as can be.

We are totally in love!

Conall had his surgery to be neutered this week. He weighed 9 pounds 6 ounces at almost nine weeks. He is getting pretty good using papers and working on his housebreaking. He is a water dog. He jumps into the pool and splashed around. He hops in bird baths, too. He really likes water. He also likes keeping cool and will lay in front of the AC vent or the fan.

Conall left with his new family yesterday. They are going to call him Dobie. He has a large following of family and friends anxious to meet him. His mom’s co-workers gave her a puppy shower. It sounds like he will be a pretty spoiled pup with lots of people offering to assist with his care.

His dad did a quick check of his incision from his neuter surgery to be sure all looks good. He worked for a vet so Dobie will be in good hands. As the picture shows, Dobie is completely trusting and already in love with his new people. They are getting a loveable easy going puppy who while a labradoodle has a golden heart.

Conall met his forever family this weekend and it was love at first sight. His dad was waiting to see him before picking a new name. Conall sounds too much like his own name. As he left after their first visit he was trying out various names and eager to start buying things for their new puppy. Conall will be a companion for his new mom but it was clear that dad will be a big part of his life. Conall has the temperament to be a therapy dog and he can go to work with his mom at her job when he’s grown up and housebroken. He is so very sweet like all the pups but especially laid back and affectionate. Conall will be staying in South Dakota and have a littermate in the same town with him. It was so nice to meet the L Family this weekend and introduce them to Conall.

At his six week checkup Conall weighed 6.6 pounds. The vet feels that most of the pups like Conall will be 50-60 pounds not small (23 pounds) like their momma, Maggie. Conall will be neutered next week and then he can begin his new life with his family in Aberdeen SD.

Conall is now six weeks old. He has a couple eager to meet him next weekend. Conall is the most laid back of all the puppies and also one of the largest ones. He is always snuggly and giving kisses. There isn’t a sweeter puppy in the litter. I laugh when I watch him run because his back end doesn’t always seem to be going along with the rest of his body. He’s got a blaze on his face and is very sweet looking.  It will be hard to see this one leave. If ever there was a service or therapy dog in this litter, he would be the most likely to succeed.

Conall is now four weeks old. Conall and his siblings traveled to Wisconsin to a lake cottage just as their eyes were opening and they started to be more mobile. They were all great travelers. He is eating ground up puppy food soaked in milk now along with her mother’s milk. The pups are changing a great deal now. They are more vocal, playful with toys and each other. They wrestle, chew on each other and explore. Their walk is a bit unsteady at times but they are gaining more control over their movements and use their little tails as a rudder. The tails are just the cutest! While they nurse, they wag them. When they’re happy, they wag them and then they can also chew on each other’s tails as they play.

Conall was the last born. He’s a big pup and has a big head and very pretty face. He is a very sweet puppy with a lovely soft coat and laid back manner.

It will be some weeks before Conall can be adopted and leave his mom and littermates but contact your placement advisor if you are interested in meeting Conall.
