How can you not fall in love with these Green eyes!!!!

Duncan is a energetic 1 yr old. golden retriever, small frame and weighs in at only 43.6 lbs., something that we’re starting to work on is getting his weight up. He is neutered and UTD on his shots. He will go into the Vet this week to be checked out and get his Heartguard & Frontline.

He hasn’t had any accidents in the house, will usually go to the door which is great!  He will go into a wired crate with a little help, but once there he is content, however I believe he has never had a pillow to sleep on before, because he pushes it to the side most of the time and sleeps on the plastic floor.

Since we just got him on Sunday night, we haven’t had him out walking as of yet, but he wants to please and be close to someone so desperately that he seems to pick things up really fast!

This little guy needs someone to love him and give him the attention that he hasn’t gotten in his past life, would you give him that golden life?

This is a real TOY and it squeaks!

Who's the tough guy?

He will even share his bone!

This is one happy boy!!!!

I have been struggling with writing this. Duncan left this world on August 22nd and our home just isn't the same. Words cannot describe the impact Duncan had on myself, my husband, and Jasmine (Geneva 07-074).

It took a while to get him to come out of his shell. We have memories of him taking his treats outside to bury for later, only for Jasmine to dig them up! It warmed our hearts the first time we saw him lay down outside in the open, without a hard structure behind his back, for that showed us he truly trusted his surroundings.

Duncan was a cuddler, and a 60 lb. lap dog. In his younger years we would have to warn visitors of a possible visit from him - he would either take a running jump and end up in your lap, or he would slowly and carefully creep his way into your lap without you realizing it until it was too late. From day one it was clear though, if there was no lap to be had he would find a pillow or other soft spot to snuggle into.

He was also the WORLD'S BEST HUGGER! Just squat down a bit and he would come snuggle in for the best hug you've ever had, I promise. I'll be searching the world for another hug just like his.

Duncan, also known as Dunker Doo, DD, The Mr. DD, Handsome, The Big Guy (even though he was only 60 lb!), Dude, Buddy, (and possibly many more because my husband creates multiple nicknames for our dogs), left an impression on everyone he met and will forever be in our hearts.

Duncan, we will always love you-

Duncan has had a busy week . . .running, wrestling with his playmates, chasing squirrels, chasing chipmunks, dashing in the house for a quick pet, then back to running , wrestling, chasing squirrels . . .

He has the run of the house, along with the residents. He is so well behaved. I HOPE he is giving our residents some lessons in manners while he is here. He just "SHINES". When the residents are trying to manipulate us and our schedule, he's just content to sit back and behave. He gets an A+ for behavior!!

Our local vet met Duncan this week. He was in for a heartworm test and a checkup. Everyone just fell in love with him while there. He got a clean bill of health. Duncan wasn't very happy getting his nails trimmed though. But he did survive!! When he got "home" the residents were so happy to see him. We thought they would enjoy the "space," not miss him !!!

Although he appears very brave, Duncan is afraid of thunder. Our ONE thunderstorm found him hiding in the nearest cubby hole. But again, he did survive!!

Duncan is so excited to get out and meet some new friends. He will be at Chuck & Don's in Eagan on Saturday, April 26. I hope you will take the time to come out and meet this handsome boy.

I have a new bed partner... Duncan. He just curls right up on the pillow and is there for the duration of the night. The best part . . .he doesn't SNORE!! You can't beat that!!

Duncan got his first bath at our house on "Bath Night". The Goldens lined up awaiting their turn. We weren't sure how Duncan would react to the bathtub. To our amazement, he just LOVED it! He stood perfectly still enjoying the scrub and massage. He now smells like "apple blossoms" instead of stinky puppy!

We haven't experienced any guarding problems. Duncan is an absolute angel. He is so busy playing and hunting that he hardly has time to stop and eat at mealtime. At this time we can see no problem with Duncan sharing his home with other dogs. . .in fact, he would probably enjoy the company.

This morning, we sat back and just watched this precious creature enjoy life to the fullest. He would make a SUPER companion. He just wants to please! Won't you consider taking Duncan into your home? You will have a friend for life.

Hi Duncan here!  Just wanted to give you a quick update on how I'm doing. I got to go see the vet and really got checked over. I'm now on Heartguard and Frontline, but have to take some meds for about 10 days, but I'm feeling WONDERFUL!

I'm picking up weight and all I want to do is run and play.  You see I have ALOT of energy to burn, since I haven't been able to do that for awhile.  My foster mom has been taking me for walks everyday and I LOVE to walk.  I don't pull, well maybe when I see a squirrel, but otherwise I'm really good on a leash.  I've learned to sit when asked and now working on other commands.

Here are some pics my foster mom took, see me playing!!!
