Hank (Ace 13-155)

Profile

Please welcome Ace into the RAGOM world.  Ace is one of the puppies from Mary Sue 13-118 born on May 19, 2013.  He, along with his 8 brothers and sisters, was born in Kentucky before his mama could be brought to Minnesota.  Ace has some Golden Retriever in him since Mary Sue is a golden mix, we just are not sure how much as his father is unknown.

Ace is mostly black with brown on his legs and white feet.  This little cutie pie feels like the sturdiest, although at his 4 week checkup he was not the biggest weighing in at 3.96 lbs.   He is a brave little boy who loves to play with sticks with leaves connected, shaking and playing keep-a-way with his brothers and sisters.

We will keep you updated as this little guy’s personality comes out and he begins to explore the world.

Our main man Ace has been picked up by his new family.  Ace was hard to give up even though I know he is going to a great home.  He was the last of the puppies being adopted out to go home, so we had a chance to get to know him on a more individual level than some of the others.  When we were down to the two puppies they got to visit all parts of the house and we started the house training process with him.  He was catching on so quick. He was always quick to come up for pets and when you called his name his ears would perk up and he would come running.  Ace always had his tail wagging.  A truly happy go lucky puppy with an amazingly sweet personality.

Ace is living the good life - being a totally spoiled puppy!  He has a new 4-legged sister and three 2-legged siblings to play with.  They are a great family for this sweet, sweet boy.  We are so happy that he has his own family, but we miss him.  I hope we get to see him again someday.  I know that Cinnamon would love a play date with her brother.

Hey everybody – Ace here, foster mom (FM) is having all of us little guys write our own updates today.  Man oh man, I have been busy and I have so much to tell you.  FM says I am getting to be the bravest of the all my brothers and sisters.  I just want to go explore.  We spent most of the weekend outside since it was so nice and we heard and saw all sorts of new things.  There was a lawn mower that scared all of us every time it got near the fence, but we all huddled by FM’s feet until we figured out it wasn’t coming to get us and then it was okay.  I also got used to the loud dog next door barking – but it was sure scary at first.  I never got used to the rooster though, but FM seemed a little surprised every time she heard it too, so I don’t think being afraid of that makes me any less brave.

We had a whole bunch of people come to see us this weekend.  There were lots of kids to chew on, I mean play with.  I was a little nervous of the small kids at first – they sure do make a lot of noise, but then it turned out that they just wanted to play with me and pet me, so I ended up having lots of fun.  They all said I was adorable, but nobody decided to adopt me yet.  I really wish they would!  FM says I am super laid back for a puppy and easy going.  While I like to explore, I also really like to be snuggled and will stick by you if you are exploring with me.  I am the biggest of all of the puppies (FM says I am sturdy) but I don’t pick on anyone – I am a good player.  I like to chew with the rope toys or play tug-a-war a lot.  I also really like to chew on shoes, but FM can get me to stop that by offering me something else to play with.  This weekend I discovered that the water dish is a great play spot.  FM thinks I might be a good water dog with how much I love to play in the water dish with Dozer, Drake and Gia.  She kept having to put more water in there in case we actually wanted to drink some.  I just want to have fun and find a family of my own to love.

When all of the people left I was really tired.  I slept a lot!  Aunt Sammy made a great pillow.  FM calls her the resident dog, and I don’t know what that means but she gets to live here all the time.  Romeo and I like to play with her – she has a big tail that is great for chewing on.  FM says she is helping us learn some manners.  I don’t know about that, but it sure is fun.  Aunt Sammy and I played with tennis balls together too (I thought it was really fun game, but FM just said Aunt Sammy was hoarding them).  I will run after the balls if you roll them for me and I love to carry them around.  Another RAGOM foster sent us some tiny tennis balls that squeak.  I am not quite strong enough to make them squeak by myself but Aunt Sammy could and that made the game so much more fun. There is a picture of me and Aunt Sammy.  In case you are wondering I am the black puppy in the picture sleeping next to her.

This weekend FM broke some bad news to us.  She tried to pass it off as an adventure, but I know the truth.  We are all going to the vet on Wednesday for our six week checkup and I think they are going to give us a shot.  I am not looking forward to that.  But it does mean that I am getting bigger – only a couple of weeks to go now before I can head off to someone’s home forever.  Now I just have to find that someone.  Who wants a super sweet, easy going fellow that is quick with the puppy kisses?
