Profile

Hazel is a Chocolate Labrador Retriever puppy. She was born on January 29 and came into to RAGOM from a breeder who wasn’t able to sell all of the litter. Hazel has been to the vet for her shots, microchip, and general check up, and the doctor gave her a clean bill of health. Puppies are adorable, but they require lots of training, socialization, and play time.

Our girl, Hazel, has been adopted. She hit the jackpot with the "0" family! She has a new fur sister, acres to run on, and human kids, too!

We will miss you sweet baby, but we feel so honored to be a part of your story.

Hazel has been with RAGOM now for almost a week and being a puppy, things change very quickly. The first couple nights I had to sleep by her for a least part of the night or she would cry. Now I play with her before bed to get her tired, and she will sleep on her own the whole night.

Potty training is a work in progress, and strangely enough she seems to have known all along to poop outside. We’ve only had two accidents, although she did give signals like going to the door and whining, but I wasn’t quick enough to get her out. Peeing is a different story, she just goes when she needs to, although not in her bed.

Puppies are puppies and that means that they can be sweet and cuddly as well as crazy and nippy! I think she is teething as she likes to chew on everything. She does well in her kennel, although I have been letting her sleep in a big dog bed in the living room most nights.

Hazel received a clean bill of health from the vet. She still needs her spay surgery before she can be adopted, and that has been scheduled.
