Mr. Henry has been adopted! He found a great couple committed to loving him and working on his manners. Together, they aspire to make him a Therapy Dog. We know he can do it, he is so smart and charming, we know he will brighten everyone's day! So thankful that RAGOM helped this cutie, from stray to Furever Home.

Henry had a photo shoot at our relative's house--doesn't he look cute? He became friends with their giant toad and spent some time hanging out with some kids. He did really well with the kids; he didn't jump up or try to roughhouse with them, but certainly enjoyed getting their attention and pets. He loves going for car rides, but should be harnessed or kenneled while in the car because he spends a lot of time moving around. He is timid around new people and cautious in new places, but it doesn't take him long to settle in. He enjoys following us all around the house, and if he gets tired enough, he likes to snuggle on the couch.

Well, it's not difficult to get cute pictures of Henry, if you can get him to sit still long enough! Here he is romping in the yard, playing with toys, enjoying some pets, and doing some rough and tumble with one of our dogs.
Henry went back to the vet last week to check on things. His ears look much better, but there was still yeast in them, so we are continuing his ear ointment for two more weeks. His skin looks better and he itches much less, so we are giving him Benadryl twice a day to keep his skin in check.
Henry has not had any accidents in the house for quite a while, except for a couple of accidents in the crate. He has gotten used to our routine and has calmed down a bit. He now is content relaxing by himself or snuggling with us. Don't get me wrong, he still loves to play A LOT!
Henry met our neighbor's granddaughter briefly and he did ok with her. Henry would love to find his Forever Family so he can enjoy the rest of the summer with them! We are quickly falling in love with this guy and we know you will too!

Handsome Henry is just so cute we can hardly stand it! Henry is going to the vet later this week to make sure his skin and ears are all cleared up. He does not seem to shed much, if at all. He is starting to settle into our home; he even is enjoying some snuggles on the couch from time to time. He has mastered the Golden paw and the Golden nudge!
Henry's favorite thing is playing! He likes to play with our resident dog that likes to play, but he mostly leaves our older resident dog alone. If she warns him to leave her alone, he listens. He is still learning that biting is not an acceptable way to play, so we have to remind him often and redirect him with chew toys. He acts like a puppy and sometimes tries to chew inappropriate items.
Henry would do best in a home with another dog that likes to play or as an only dog. He has not been around cats that we are aware of. We have not had the opportunity to have him around kids either, but we know he will have to learn how to behave around kids because he is young, clumsy and rambunctious! He will be a really great companion once he learns his manners!

Henry has had a good week with us! He still has a lot of energy and keeps us busy, but he isn't constantly trying to play with the other dogs. He's doing a good job of going to the door when he needs to go potty. He is also adjusting to the Gentle Leader and walks much better with it on. We are still working on the play-biting, but he is doing much better with not jumping up on people. His skin and ears seem to be improving as well. He is curious about everything that might be food and is learning not to put his paws up on the counter. Henry gets a lot of compliments on how cute he is! He is very vocal and has a lot of personality; he will make a great addition to a family that is willing to train a young dog. Let us know if you want to meet this cutie! Who could resist that face?
