With her skin infection hopefully behind her and several weeks of good food and hours of TLC, Amelia is showing this part of the world who she is. What she is, is a happy, gentle extremely affectionate lady. She was a big hit at a visit to a local football game. She allowed anyone who wanted to pet her and loved the attention.
The next chapter in her Golden life will take place in the metro area where she has been adopted by a nice young couple whom she hit it off with during a recent visit. Bringing joy to many people is what her future holds. Thanks for the memories, sweet Amelia!

I am amazed how quickly dogs can recover from horrible conditions. Amelia has been with me for almost two weeks and the changes have been amazing. She was suffering from a extensive skin infection which made her miserable. Meds and medicated bath every other day and she is a different dog.
She spends most of her time either following me or my resident dogs around. She has a very gentile manner. She is housebroken and trustworthy to be left alone. I think she realizes that she will be well cared for now and her personality is starting to emerge. I heard her bark for the first time yesterday.
