Indie was adopted on Saturday by a darling family! I checked in with them today and all is going well.
Indie had a great day Saturday as she attended her first Meet and Greet as a RAGOM member! She met many new dogs and made friends with all of them! She also met a lot of nice people who just loved her. She enjoyed all the attention she got and never tired of all the petting and treats! Below is a picture of her last night, totally wiped out!
Indie is continuing to become more comfortable with everyday noises like the vacuum, the hair dryer, kettles clanking in the kitchen and the loud clapping during a Gopher basketball game! We are always praising her and reminding her that these are daily noises and will not hurt her. She loves to run around in the yard and really checks out the squirrels-chasing them up the tree and even climbing the tree a bit herself. She also is really starting to enjoy her stuffed toys and even playing a bit of tug with us!
Indie has been with us now for three weeks and her cute personality is really coming out! She is still very sweet and lovable, scared of loud noises, and a bit stubborn but one big change is her comfort outdoors. She has really come to love running around in the snow in our backyard. She is very fast and a bit of a show off when the neighborhood dogs are watching her! We have been working with her on playing nicely with other dogs and have had two play dates, both going very well! She loves playing outside with the other dogs and took a great nap after that! We also are working with her daily on being a good walker. She still is learning what the word "walk" means but is catching on quickly! We still put Indie in her kennel when we leave the house. She is okay going into it but still destroys what is in there with her. Otherwise, when we are home, she has free roam of the house with no issues other then an occasional sock or slipper moved from one room to another! Below is a picture of Indie with her bone she got for Christmas. She is learning to enjoy it more everyday.
