My name is Goldie! I am a 1 yr. old male GR mix. I am not neutered as of yet but my foster mom has the appointment made for Monday the 7th of March (Boo)! I came from a not so good situation, got rescued from there and then became sick with parvo, so I spent some time in the hospital getting better. I’m clear of parvo but have some weight to put back on!

I know my name does not really fit a beautiful stud male like me, but we can work on that when I find my forever home! I have been at my fosters home in Deer River, Mn. for 4 days now and have been a good boy they keep telling me. I like to stick close to my people and get lots of attention, which I deserve being I was so sick. I’m learning not to jump on people and how to play ball, I had no idea what to even do with a ball but foster mom is helping me with that.

I was not house trained as I was an outdoor dog but have had NO accidents in the house and go outside where it belongs!! I think foster mom is really happy about that! I already have free run of the house with no issues and I hope that I can continue to be good with that. Fosters have a cat that I like to get close to but she hisses at me then runs off. So I guess she is not interested in getting to know me, But that’s ok I have my foster family that pays lots of attention to me. I will update you all after I have my surgery for neuter but until then anyone interested in me please let my foster mom know.

We had to say goodbye to Jake today. He was our best friend, and a one in a million dog. I want to thank Bobbi Jo Serfling Hemphill for being a world class foster mom to him, and to thank RAGOM for giving us the opportunity to give him a great life.

So It’s been a week and a half since I last updated. Nothing new really going on except for some new pictures of me. I sure am handsome! I also have a picture of me with my new toy. This toy really keeps me busy, it has yummy treats inside it and I had to learn how to get them out! Foster mom keeps the best treats  just for this, I can play with that toy for a long timebefore I get bored with it, pushing it around until a yummy treat falls out, it is worth the work I have to put in it! It helps to keep  me entertained! I am doing really well and would makesomeone a great pet, I like to be active, so I need a home with some active people, foster mom says it’s the lab in me!  I will be waiting for your call!

Well since my last update I was staying in a plastic crate when the foster family was not home. I did not like it very much because I could not see out, so foster mom got me a new crate that is all wire and I can see all around me and I love it, I even go lay in there for naps during the day when they are home (see picture below). I don’t feel so confined in there.

We are working on some manners, jumping mostly! But I am a quick learner, I’m young, active and smart so I will catch on! I am now ready for my forever home, I’m all healed up from my neuter. I’m looking for a family that likes to be active so then I can take a nice nap like you see in the picture! I look forward to hearing from you!

So I had my neuter done on Monday, things went well and I’m on the mend. I will be ready to adopt next week!! In my last update I stated how good I have been in the house, well I got used to my place and have been in a little mischif. I can no longer have free roam of the house when my people are gone cause I like to counter surf and get into the recycling. So they put me in a crate which I really don’t like, but we are working on that.

I am a young pup and with a little training I will pick up on right and wrong. I also have been chewing my tie out everytime I go out, so foster mom is getting a cable tie out so I can’t chew through that. I would probably do well with a fence so I can just run and play. I like to go on walks, I am a good walker on the leash. I’m a little shy about getting into the vehicle but once I am in the car I ride well. I love to know where my people are at all times so I guess you could call me a velcro dog. I love attention and am very lovable! I have a big ol head to hug. So contact us if your interested in helping me become a great dog!
