ORIGINAL BIO:

Juno is a returning RAGOM girl who was adopted in May of last year.  She is a petite 2 1/2 year old golden mix. Juno was so loved in her home - she loved the two children she lived with and was best buddies with her fur brother. The family decided to return Juno to RAGOM because she began nipping at friends of the kids when they came over to visit.  There were never bite marks or bruising.  Her family hadn't witnessed this behavior before and wasn't sure what was causing it.  Juno was perfect with her own family, including the two children ages 10 and 7.

3/6/15

Juno is very trusting and a great dog.  She was initially apprehensive when meeting her new Foster Dad,  but she warmed up quickly. Juno has been apprehensive when meeting strangers, especially males. She needs a little time before becoming completely trusting of someone new. Resident dog Lexington and Juno love to play together, and get along very well.  Juno’s favorites are chasing tennis balls, and snuggling in blankets on the couch.  After a week of being in her foster home, she has become best friends with her Foster Dad. Juno needs confident owners, and a forever home that has enough time to get out and about.  Juno knows how to sit, stay, take it, down, and she will belly crawl on demand.  Outside, Juno will retrieve whatever you chuck out there.

Juno is one lucky girl! The J Family adopted her on 5/20/15. We will miss you, Junebug! Congratulations on finding your forever home!

Foster Mom was out of town recently, so this update is from Juno’s sitter:

It was a pleasure to have Juno at my house for the third time! She has been an awesome house guest who fits right in. I had two unexpected guests stop by, and Juno met them without any issue. In fact, she was very happy and excited to meet them! She jumped up, but was easily corrected.

Juno really loves people and is a very sweet dog. She is a joy to have around. Juno gets along famously with my dog and the neighbor dog. The three of them played together every day! I filled up the swimming pool to see if Juno liked the water and, after much coaxing, she would step in and drink the water. When my dog would hop in and lay down to cool off, Juno would lay down in the grass next to the pool.

Here are a list of things I have observed about Juno while she has been at my house:

·        She loves to play ball and will bring the ball back and give it to you.

·        She enjoys going for walks and walks nicely on a harness.

·        She has the “golden nudge” down and uses it often.

·        She is completely house broken and had no accidents in my house any of the times she has stayed.

·        She has free roam when left alone and is not destructive.

·        She loves to play with puzzle toys, which are toys that she has to work to get treats out of.

·        She sometimes needs reminding to take treats "gentle."

We very much enjoyed having Juno stay with us and would dog sit for her again any time!

Juno shifted foster homes yesterday. She is now back in the same foster home she had when she was with RAGOM last year! Juno was very happy in her previous foster home, but had started barking when Foster Dad was away. She will certainly miss him and her playmate Lexington! Luckily, Juno was already familiar with the surroundings of her new foster home and settled in immediately. Within a few minutes, she was playing with her favorite toy, wagging her tail and even gave a smile! She barked a little when she heard the neighbor’s car door or garage door, but calmed down quickly with a little reassurance.

Juno’s most endearing quality, at least in Foster Mom’s opinion, is her smile. She pulls her lips back to show her teeth when she is very happy. To someone who doesn’t know her, this expression may seem aggressive at first. However, you can tell it’s not because her tail is wagging nonstop when she does it!

Juno is a snuggler extraordinaire. She LOVES to sleep on the bed at night and will quietly cuddle up next to you. At other times, she is happy to take naps on her dog bed or blankets. Even though she is accustomed to being allowed on the furniture, she will stay off when told.

Juno was crate trained as a puppy, but does not like the crate anymore. She has free roam of the house when left alone and behaves very well. Juno also behaves well in the car and sits calmly in the back. This girl is healthy, happy and ready for her forever home!
