I was wondering what all the fuss was at our house—Foster Mom was cleaning away, and then I got a bath, and then do you know who came over? My new Mom and Dad! You should have seen how fast my tail was wagging—and I gave my mom so many kisses she couldn’t quit laughing.
I’ll miss my sister who has been with me my whole life (I won’t miss her bugging me, though). My new family has me signed up to start puppy classes, and once I am old enough, I get to go to doggy daycare, so I don’t think I’ll be lonely very long!
Foster Mom here: Boy, oh boy, did this little sweetie claim a piece of my heart. I don’t know if it is that special mix (Golden Retriever, Newfie, Lab), or his innate disposition, or maybe some of both, but what an incredible pup. It was truly an honor to foster him, and I know he is in the best hands with his new family.
Please join me in wishing Louie and his family the very, very best!

Hi, everybody: It’s me, Kipling! I have some really good news—I have my very own family, and they are going to pick me up in a few days. I guess I’m going to be training to let people pet me so they can feel better. I think I’m going to like all that petting and hanging out.
My sister Violet and I are 10 weeks old now (Daisy was adopted a couple of weeks ago). My foster mom says we are starting to play like big dogs—everywhere we go, we run! We just learned how to do zoomies around the kitchen island, and the chase-me game and diving under our favorite chair and couch.
You should see us outside—we don’t even care if it is cold out, our fur just gets all fluffed up. Foster Mom didn’t let us stay out very long when it was really cold, though, so we were wild on those days and she couldn’t wait for it to warm up.
I’m getting so big—I’m learning how to sleep in a crate at night, and I wait to go potty outside (most of the time). I still love to snuggle, and I am getting really good at chewing on bones and chewie sticks. I grab one and go to my favorite dog bed, and I’m so happy to lay there and chew. My sister Violet chews hers for about a second and then comes over to bug me, or tries to get my chewie away.
That’s about it for now. I’ll write back when my family comes to get me!!

Meet Kipling, the sweetest, most gentle pup. He is 9 weeks old and what a honey. He is a more passive boy and you’ll always notice him following his siblings around—never the leader (or instigator).
Kipling came to us from an owner whose dog had a surprise litter of pups. Mom is a Golden Retriever/Lab, and I hear she is a beautiful dog—looks like a Golden Retriever but black. Dad is a Newfoundland/Lab mix.
Kippy is the most Newfie-looking of the three pups. What’s not to love about his snout?
He’s been to the vet and is up to date with his first vaccinations, and he is neutered. All he needs now is a wonderful home to call his own.
As far as a good fit, I think there are many kinds of homes that could work well for him. The one thing that may not be the best fit for him is a family who is super busy and doesn’t have much time to spend with him, or a family where the pace of the household is very active.
He is a laid-back guy and so affectionate: he loves to lay on my lap and get tummy rubs. He is quite a kisser, too. He’d make a fantastic therapy dog.
Kippy is extremely faithful and seeks me out, and always comes running when I call him. He is making nice headway in his potty training.
I’ll post more as I get to know him. If you think Kipling sounds like a pup for you, please submit an application. Include how you will care for him: socialization, exercise, training--all that important stuff!
