Maizy Here! Foster mom said I could do my own update today.
I have a lot to tell you, it has been a very busy week. Last Tuesday I went for a ride with a nice man, he dropped me off at a place called MNSNAP. They were very nice to me and then I fell asleep. When I woke up foster mom was there and told me I was spayed and we could go home. I don't know what that means but I was glad I got to go back to my foster home.
I like it at my foster home - there are two big dogs that live there and I get to play with them all the time! I really like the big red one. She shows me lots of things like how to wrestle, chew toys, chew sticks and how to lay down and nap. Look, she is showing me how to flap my ears!
She also shows me where I am supposed to go potty. I run outside with her and go potty when she does. I do need to go more often then she does so I use a potty pad in the house if I can't wait. Foster mom said I am a good girl and she gives me a treat when I use the potty pad. I like treats and use my potty pad all the time. Foster mom said I am 100% trained to the potty pad. I think that is good because she gives me lots of treats. I like treats!
On Friday Foster mom said we were going to the lake. The big dogs got all excited which made me excited. I had to ride in my crate on the way to the lake. I did a good job and played with my toys and took a nap. When I woke up I got to get out and have a potty break. We were not there yet. I had to go back in my crate and I played and napped again. I did ask "Are we there yet?" Foster mom said "Not yet." It is a really long drive to get to the lake. When we got there I got to run around in the big yard, it had a lot of snow and I really like to roll in it. Big red taught me that!
Foster mom set up my crate in the kitchen and put a gate across so I couldn't get to the carpet. I haven't been able to be on carpet yet. Foster mom said I am getting close. I don't mind staying in the kitchen - foster mom hangs out with me most of the time. When she leaves the room I just lay by the gate and wait for her to come back. I don't bark much and can keep myself amused when she is gone. I got treats at the cabin, too, for using my potty pad. I like treats!
It was warm out so we got to play outside a lot. Foster mom was shoveling and we were rolling in the snow and chewing on sticks. Some times she would throw the snow up in the air and we would jump for it. We liked that.
Here is a picture of me chewing on a stick! Big red taught me that! Look at all my puppy teeth - foster mom said they are very sharp. I wonder how she knows that.
Have to go now, its time for my nap!
Foster mom here, Maizy is doing great and is a very sweet dog. She is very smart and learns quickly. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She is ready to meet her forever family. If you would like to meet Maizy please contact your placement adviser.
