These puppies were born at our cabin 12 days before we were expecting them to arrive. We thought it would be fun to name them after this very special place. Let me introduce you to Rose, Lake and Walley (short for Walleye).

Lake is one of three puppies born on October 28th. Her mama, Elisabeth 17-222A came from an auction and was pregnant when she came into RAGOM.

Lake is the smallest of the three dogs.

When Lake was born she only weighed 4 ounces. Her mama did not want to take care of her. She would push her into the middle of the puppy box and give all her attention to the other two puppies. Foster mom had a different idea. I made sure she was warm, keeping her on a heating pad and would supplement her with puppy formula. I would also make sure mama would feed her and make sure she got a good spot to nurse. After three days mama decided Lake was okay and took over all of her care. 

She is now over 11 pounds and is getting bigger every day. She is a very sweet girl and likes to climb up on my lap and snuggle with me whenever I sit on the floor with her. She is 10 weeks old now.

Lake was adopted by a wonderful family who watched her grow up on the puppy cam. They loved watching! I am going to miss her, but know she will have a wonderful life with her new family!
