Ollivander (Drake 13-154)

Profile

Please welcome Drake into the RAGOM world. Drake is one of the puppies from Mary Sue 13-118 born on May 19, 2013. He, along with his 8 brothers and sisters, was born in Kentucky before his mama could be brought to Minnesota. Drake has some Golden Retriever in him since Mary Sue is a Golden mix, we just are not sure how much as his father is unknown.

Drake is a dark brown and black fuzz ball. He has more black fur on his back and tail than his look-alike sisters, Wren 13-149 and Cinnamon 13-153. Drake is a tiny fellow who loves to be picked up and snuggled. He will whine between my feet until I scoop him up for snuggles – what a sweetie. At his 4-week checkup, he was the smallest of the group weighing in at 2.82 lbs. In the pile of puppies picture, he is the brown puppy on the bottom left.

We will keep you updated as this little guy’s personality comes out and he begins to explore the world.

This is Ollie’s former foster mom.  I wanted to share a couple of pictures I have received of this handsome fellow since it was his 2nd birthday on May 19.  Happy Birthday Ollie!!!

There are a few pictures of his shortly after he went home for the first time and then a few recent ones.  I find it remarkable how much he has changed from the when he was just a baby.  From dark brown and black into a golden colored boy.  Ollie is very loved and we couldn’t be happier for him.

Drake, now known as Ollivander, Olli for short, has been picked up by his new family. Feisty and full of energy, Olli is a seriously sweet little boy. The puppies were all weighed on the 14th when they turned 8 weeks old, and Olli came in as the smallest. He weighed 7.4 lbs when the biggest puppies weighed 10.6 lbs. He feels so tiny when you pick him up after one of the bigger puppies! Olli has a big bark, though, and used it to try and get his brothers and sisters playing.

Olli was neutered on the 17th and came through with flying colors. You wouldn’t know that anything had happened – it didn’t slow him down one bit. He is always in motion – I had a hard time finding pictures to put in this post as almost all of the ones I have of him are blurry. Saying good-bye to a dog you have had for a month is hard, and this little fellow is no exception. He is such a cute puppy and always gave very enthusiastic puppy kisses when you said hello. We will miss Olli but we wish him the best. I think he might have his mom’s ears when he gets older… I cannot wait to see what this little boy grows up to be!

Hi guys, this is Drake. Foster mom (FM) is letting me write my own update. I am a little nervous but will give it a go.

There sure has been a lot going on lately. There have been tons of people coming and going to play with us. It sure does tire a little puppy out. Nobody that came over this weekend wanted to take me home with them. FM says I will find my family, so I am keeping my chin up. There have been a lot of other things to do too. We spent a lot of time outside this weekend with the nice weather. Ace and I found out that the water dish is a great play spot. We let Dozer and Gia play with us too. I was pretty scared when the neighbors were mowing their lawn. It took a while before I realized that nothing was going to happen. The next day, another neighbor was mowing and I didn’t even notice when it started up – I am getting braver every day. Loud big dog barks also scare me and I run to make sure I am with my brothers and sisters – after all, there is strength in numbers.

I am one of the smallest puppies, but my sister Cinnamon says that we are easier to snuggle because of it. FM says I am super snuggly, especially when I am tired. I love sleeping in people’s arms. I like to think that I am a quiet puppy; I am playful, but not rough. Bella and I play a lot since she is pretty gentle most of the time too. Romeo and I play tug-o-war a lot, and we play growl really loud when we get going. FM says it’s all show, though, and that both Romeo and I are just big fluff balls. I told her that I may be small, but I have the heart of a big dog. I wish I knew how big I would grow up to be.

I will find out this Wednesday how much I have been growing. We are going to our six-week checkups. Wren and I have a competition to see which one of us is bigger. I think I am going to win. I am not looking forward to the booster shot. But six weeks old… that means that we are almost ready to go to our forever families. I just need to find mine now! FM says I have looking cute down pat, so that should help.

I have a whole bunch of really good reasons that I would make an excellent addition to someone’s family. I am sweet and affectionate and gentle. I love to play and am more interested in a rope or bone than in tennis shoes. If you want a small, cute puppy who likes to fall asleep in your arms, I could be the boy for you!
