Welcome the wonderful dog, formally known as Prince, to Minnesota!
He is a special boy. Extremely gentle and friendly. He is an expert in the Golden lean and joyfully intercepts you if you're even thinking of leaving him. He also loves snuggles and cuddles.
While he's estimated to be 2, I would guess closer to 3 years. He lacks the frenetic puppy go-go-go mojo juice I'm used to.
He sits well especialy when a treat is involved. But he doesn't respond to his name well (like, at all). He did escape yesterday by rushing the gate, but loves car rides, so hopped right in when I caught him sniffing around the parking lot across the street. He was a bit nervous.
Except for an ear infection and yeast, he's very healthy. He's getting ear drops twice a day for 2 weeks.
He was very good with 2 older male dogs, my resident Duke and former foster Charlie. Charlie tried to teach Prince how to open the fridge, and Duke how to bark at the mailman.
Duke (Top) and Prince relaxing on the couch.
Luckily, Duke is very good-natured and didn't mind being on the bottom of the dog pile as they competed in seeing who could sit next to me on the couch.
On Prince's first day, he charmed everyone in Shakopee at the meet-and-greet. Thus, he could well be Prince Charming.
At his first meet-and-greet 10 hours after getting to his new home!
Pulling a Mikey - a former RAGOM dog I temp fostered. He spent most meet-and-greets in a chair.
Prince walks well, pulls a little bit, and gets along with all the other dogs I've introduced him to. He'd love to play, but the old farts Duke & Charlie play for 30 seconds, then lie down.
Minnesota sure has tasty sticks.
Admiring Duke's ball while Charlie looks on.
Prince is ready to meet his forever family. He's a fabulous boy, and will be coming to the Edina meet-and-greet this weekend. Someone will be especially lucky.
