Please welcome Remmy to RAGOM!  I think this kiddo has his eye on a career as a spy! He keeps slipping out of his identification ribbon and trying to blend in with the rest of the crowd.  FM has his number though, so it's right back into the ribbon every time I find him without it.  I need help keeping track of this crew!  You can watch a video of the puppies here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Q7pHt5gHTI

Remmy will be in foster care for another four weeks or so while the puppies are weaned and get altered.  If you are interested in this special boy, please contact your placement advisor!

Happy New year from Remmy (Summit)!  He has been having the time of his life for the past few weeks!  My kids were home from college with their dog who is twice the size of him!  It was non-stop play time.  And, the Monday before Christmas we welcomed two little puppies Libby (13-425) and Cookie (13-424) ….. more fur friends to play with.   The puppies are way smaller then Summit and he is so gentle with them!  He continues to amaze me.

Besides the six dogs, there were kids (8-24 years) in and out all the time and he was great with everyone. He doesn’t jump, doesn’t bark, knows sit, down, leave it, no,  and kennel.  He has learned to sleep in!   He is still in his kennel at night, but free in the house all day.

No big changes on what he is looking for in his forever home, except that he is so gentle, that even though he is solid he does very well around children, so I think he would be fine with all children.  Enjoy the pictures of Summit and friends.

Remmy  is now “Summit”.  He and resident Remi didn’t do well with the same name!  My college kids named him… wonder where they came up with it!

He is the most exceptional boy.  I am in love!  That is probably why I am not getting updates about this wonderful puppy out very often….

His first foster mom (who had him since birth) did an incredible job.  He knows many commands, no accidents, sleeps great in his kennel, doesn’t bite or jump up on anyone, super mellow, loves people, dogs, and playing in the snow.   He will grab a mitten or shoe if left where he can get it, but drops when I tell him no, and I always give him one of his toys as a trade.

He is such a happy boy!  He tries to get me up at 6:30/7 with a funny howl, I have been ignoring it because it is too cold for me to get up, so he patiently waits till I want to get up.  Then he just loves me up while I put my residents out to potty.  He won’t go out till he has spent “quality kissing time” with me.

I got a dog coat for him when it was super cold – it worked for three days… then I couldn’t find it for a day.  I searched everywhere in the house where he could have stashed it… and then finally found it outside in the fenced area – guess he doesn’t like it L.  We play in the front yard with the neighbor dogs and he loves it and the snow.  He makes me laugh so much watching him run in the snow!

My office is in the front room of my house and I have two chairs where he and resident Remi sit (in two chairs) and they watch the birds and squirrels in the feeders – no barking – just intense staring.  Very observant!!

We went to the RAGOM meet and greet today at Richfield VCA and he had a good time.  He loved meeting other dogs, kids and adults too.  He was super mellow, which still surprises me as he is just a little over 4 months.  Once it warms up a bit we will try a leash, haven’t walked on one much yet.

If you would like to meet me, just let your placement advisor know!

Remmy has moved to MN to his new foster home.  Both he and Marley were quiet all the way to Albert Lea and glad to hop out for a quick break and a drink before finishing his trip.  Watch for new updates from his foster mom as well as new pictures.  This foster mom is going to miss all the shenanigans that all puppies bring with their growing up as well as the kisses and cuddles.

Remmy is now 12 weeks old and completed his 12 week puppy shots.  He weighed in at 19.7 lbs. and also has a healed neuter incision and a healthy checkup.

Remmy like his brothers eats 2 cups of kibble in the morning and evening in his own bowl.  They pay attention to their own food dish but have no problem checking to see if something was left in one of the other bowls.  All the puppies eat in their kennel pen and when done are outside for a potty break.

Remmy will consistently 100% of the time kennel up and come running when asked to from outside.  He sits to command but is less patient waiting for his treat.  All the puppies sleep in the same kennel so when one wakes up so do the others so we now are out anywhere from 4 am to 6 am to potty.

Remmy looks for attention especially if his brothers are getting some affection.  Like Marley he is a gentle soul and loves to have his ears rubbed but will sometimes try and nibble fingers like Auggie.  Remmy I think shows more ability to self-entertain but still spends much of his time playing with his siblings on the stairs or with the resident dogs.

Remmy would love to find his forever home and show you want a great pup he is.  Let your placement advisor know if you would love to meet this fellow.

Remmy is only slightly larger than Auggie weighing in at 14.5 lbs when he was neutered.  Keeping puppies quiet especially when you have four is a lost cause.  Nonetheless Remmy has done well and is fully healed from his procedure.  Remmy is all pup in that it is ALWAYS play time and fully enjoys playing with his brothers.  Remmy enjoys his human affection, but, at this age it is all about carousing with his brothers and doing it at full speed.  He is often the one that hid under the entertainment center just to grab at his brothers or under the chair.  Remmy can be vocal but has a deeper voice than his brothers who are more high pitched in typical puppy fashion.  Guess he is growing into his big boy voice sooner than his brothers.Remmy is anxious to find his new forever family.  Is that you?

All Miss Scooby's puppies are growing like weeds!  They are eating hard food and lapping water from a dish -- and are pooping and peeing machines!  They will go for their first shots at the end of this week and then will be leaving their super-awesome momma.  Though they won't be with Scooby, they will still with at least one other litter mate for the next few weeks to continue to socialize and learn the rules of dog-dog interaction.

Remmy got a new ribbon that he is keeping on much better than his old one, which helps FM keep track of who is who!  He is looking forward to having his very own family where he stands out from the crowd!
