Freddy (now Riley) has found his perfect, forever home! He has been adopted by a retired couple who have an older golden also adopted from RAGOM.
His new family understands that Riley still has some breeding facility behaviors that will continue to need some work. But he’s come a long way in the past few weeks, learning to trust and loving to be petted. We are so very happy for this gentle boy and know that he will continue to thrive in his new home!

Freddy came in with Buffy (18-200) and Sabrina (18-201) and they are supposedly siblings (born on May 8, 2018). However, he is so much bigger than the two girls and has very different facial features. The vet estimates that he is 6 - 7 months old.
What a love this boy is! He has learned to enjoy being petted. He is so easy to have around. He will give up anything that the girls want. He loves to chase balls and will actually bring them back! Any toy that squeaks is a big favorite. He is eating well and sleeps all night.
He is fed 3 times a day to increase his weight. He is let outside often so we haven’t had any accidents in the house for quite some time. But he doesn’t know how to signal that he needs to go outside. Today he learned to sit!!!!
He is up to date on all vaccinations and is heartworm negative. No organisms in his stool. He is microchipped. He will be neutered on November 5.
He is from a large breeding facility and has behaviors related to spending all of his life in a cage and having very little human contact. He bucked like a wild mustang when we attempted to put a leash on him and walk him. So we have been putting a leash on and letting him run around the yard to get used to it.
He loves playing with the two girls and our resident dogs. He is not as scared around people anymore but is still skittish with new people and new sounds.
Whoever adopts this sweet boy will need to be patient as he learns how to adapt to being a companion dog that lives in a house. Plus he has lots of puppy energy!
