Riley (Sargent 06-159)

Profile

4/1/06: Hello All,

My name is Sargent. I am a 9 month old neutered Golden. I am house trained, love to ride in cars, and enjoy a good game of fetch/tug. I was surrendered because my previous owners had a medical issue come up and they just could not care for me. I really miss them. I have been at my foster home for about six hours and love everyone here. I really like to play with my foster sister Hanna. My fosters learned quickly that I do not like to be in the crate, but they said we will work on that. More later as I get to know my new foster family.

See ya!

Our sweet Riley crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. We adopted him at 9 months old from RAGOM and for the next 11 years he played endlessly with his two human siblings, chased countless bunnies and squirrels from his yard and lovingly hoarded all his stuffed babies.

He was the sweetest, most gentle dog and he never lost his puppy exuberance. He was a true velcro golden, always wanting to be near his people.

Our family is heart broken from the loss. We love you Riley boy.

Riley (AKA Sargent) been with us for a little more than three months and doing great. The first few weeks were tough on all of us (especially our shoes), but Riley has made great progress!

When we adopted Riley he was a very large (80+ lbs.) and exuberant puppy with very little discipline and a lot of undesirable behaviors (chewing, nipping, jumping, etc.). After lots of patience, exercise and obedience class he has blossomed into a wonderful companion. He is very eager to learn and takes to new commands very quickly. He is even using a kennel (he wouldn't even go near one we adopted him).

His favorite activity is to run through the sprinkler with our two-year-old son.
