Romeo 13-157

Profile

Please welcome Romeo into the RAGOM world. Romeo is one of the puppies from Mary Sue 13-118 born on May 19, 2013. He, along with his 8 brothers and sisters, was born in Kentucky before his mama could be brought to Minnesota. Romeo has some Golden Retriever in him since Mary Sue is a Golden mix, we just are not sure how much as his father is unknown.

Romeo is a brown and white fluff ball weighing in at 3.12 lbs at his 4-week checkup. He is a playful puppy - when his brothers and sisters are all ready to start napping, Romeo is still ready to go. As I type this, everyone but him is completely sound asleep and he is trying to chew a Post-it note on my lap. He is very vocal when playing and will be the first to tell someone that they are biting him too hard.

We will keep you updated as this little guy’s personality comes out and he begins to explore the world.

This is Cooper’s former foster mom.  Given that it is his 2nd birthday on May 19th I wanted to send off a quick note and a couple of pictures that I have received from his family, as well as a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY COOPER!!!!!

Cooper has become such a beautiful dog!  He is also a very sweet boy.  Cooper is a wonderful companion to his people and also a great RAGOM foster brother.  It is so fun to be reading through the updates on the available dog site and suddenly see him in a picture with a current RAGOM foster dog.  Since his family became RAGOM fosters we have had the opportunity to see him on several different occasions.  He is truly a happy boy and so sweet!

After a while his family adopted another RAGOM dog so the black dog in most of the pictures is RAGOM boy Trackr 14-306.  He became Cooper’s brother back in October and they are best buddies!  Trackr is a laid back happy boy just like Cooper so it is no wonder that they get along.

We look forward to seeing these beautiful boys again, maybe at Goldzilla this year.  In the meantime, I love getting pictures as there is something about Cooper that just makes you smile.

This is Cooper’s (formerly known as Romeo) former foster mom – I wanted to send off a quick note and a couple of pictures that I have received from his family. Cooper has settled into his new life wonderfully! It sounds like he is still getting into all kinds of mischief – but we wouldn’t expect anything else from him. Can you believe how big he is getting? He is going to be one handsome fellow when he is full grown!

Romeo met his forever family. This little white and brown fluff ball is a special little boy and needed a family to see how great he truly is – he has found them. A wonderful couple fell in love with the little mischief maker and will be adding him to their family. He will get a new four-legged brother to play with and have lots of land to explore and play on.

We weighed the puppies on Sunday the 14th when they turned 8 weeks old and Romeo came in at 8.8 lbs. That puts 3 other puppies smaller than him (littlest – 7.4 lbs, biggest – 10.6 lbs). He is turning into a little barrel as he is short to the ground and short from head to tail, but getting wider from side to side. It is really cute!! He is still a little instigator. Romeo will try to get the other puppies playing, and as soon as they start chewing on him, he cries and cries. There have been a couple of times when we have been outside and I look around and here comes Romeo, barreling towards me with 5-6 puppies hot on his heels, clearly trying to get him. Again, it is really cute. The puppies can also pull themselves up onto our swing and Romeo and Nutmeg were on it for a while. Then Nutmeg climbed down and Romeo pounced on Nutmeg from the swing. From his mischief making to the little freckles on his nose, there isn’t a thing about this boy that I don’t love.

Romeo was neutered on Wednesday the 17th and was picked up by his family after his week of recovery time. I couldn’t ask for a better home for this sweet little boy to go to. Saying good-bye was hard, as anyone who has spent even a few minutes with Romeo is completely in love with the little guy, but I know that he is going to be loved and cherished as a member of their family. We wish him the best of luck as he continues to grow, explore and get into all kinds of mischief – he will always hold a very special place in our hearts!!

Hi Guys – this is Romeo. We all get to write our own updates today – I think foster mom (FM) is ready for a nap, so she is passing it off to us. We have been really busy and I am not sure where to start.

There were bunches of people that came over to see and play with us this weekend. I really liked the kids that came to play with us – even the loud ones. I wasn’t nervous at first like my brothers and sisters – I just wanted someone new to play with and chew on. Everybody said I was super cute and fluffy, but nobody wanted to take me home with them. I want to find a family of my own really soon! FM says I am a super happy boy and I agree. I love to give kisses and wag my tail all the time. I also love to play with my brothers and sisters. Sometimes they pick on me; FM says I bring it on myself by pouncing on them first. But I have a trick – I have learned that between FM’s feet is a safe place to run to if someone is coming after me. So now I can pounce and run to FM’s feet – it is so much fun. My sister Gia is faster than me, and can always catch me before I can get away. FM says this is okay, as I need to learn some manners.

Aunt Sammy is apparently helping me with my manners too. She is the resident dog. My brother Ace said that means that she gets to live here all the time. Aunt Sammy has a great big furry tail for chewing on. She doesn’t always seem to like me chewing on it, but when I come over, she moves it around really fast and I cannot help but chase it. I have a good picture of Aunt Sammy and me – I am the white and brown puppy next to her. I wonder if I will get to be as big as she is.

FM says that nobody knows what I will grow up to be, but she thinks that I will always be a sweetie. And my foster grandpa keeps saying that I am a little heartbreaker. I think that means he thinks I am cute.

I did get scared a bunch this weekend – lots of new firsts. There is a loud dog next door and his bark is super scary. Every time he barked, I ran to be with my brothers and sisters. Aunt Sammy has a big bark too, but she isn’t scary. There was also a lawn mower, and every time it got near the fence, it was really loud. I was nervous the first couple of times that it got near the fence, but then it was okay when we figured out that it wasn’t coming to get us. The next day, another neighbor was mowing and I didn’t notice it at all.

FM says we have a big adventure this Wednesday, and I was super excited until Ace told me what was really going on. We are going to the vet for our six-week checkups, and that means we have to have a shot. That doesn’t sound like a very fun adventure to me. But Ace said that means we are getting bigger and that we can go to our forever homes soon. I am really looking forward to that!!

I sure do have a lot more to explore in this world and it would be nice if I had a family of my own to help me explore it. FM doesn’t know how anyone can resist me as I am a cute, happy, sweet, loveable puppy!
