Roxie's original post on Available Dog page:
This dog came into RAGOM from a commercial breeder and has not been adequately socialized to humans. RAGOM requires that any adoptive homes contain a physical fence (due to the risk of escape); another fairly confident medium to large sized dog to role model from (everything is new and scary for them); no children under 10 years old in the home(normal kid behavior scares these dogs). Our goal is to find the forever family for these dogs and our experience leads us to use these criteria. |
Hello RAGOM fans!
I am Roxie! I am just a little over 12 weeks old – still VERY MUCH a puppy – and I am in love with life!
I came from Missouri last weekend and have happily settled in with my foster family. I was pretty worried about a lot of things when I first arrived, but as I get more and more play time with my foster humans and dogs, I am learning to trust a lot more and just relax. I think I am doing that very well!
I piddled in the house only once in a while. Otherwise, I am doing pretty well with potty training. I have a little “dance” that I do when I am about ready to go potty, so my family knows when to get me to the yard! They tell me it really helps them when I do that!
I LOVE to play with the resident dogs here – Molly and Wilbur. I especially like to snuggle up to Molly who was a RAGOM pup herself! She is like a momma to me J We take naps together and I really like how warm and kind she is to me…I think I will be just like her!
In my forever home, I think I would LOVE to have some people who love me, let me run like a race dog around the yard, take me on walks to help me learn manners around other people, and spend some time teaching me lots of new things. I am as smart as can be and will learn to do a lot of things fast! I think I would also like someone who will rub my ultra-soft fur and massage me J…I like that a lot!
I will tell you more about me later. For now, I am a golden puppy who LOVES life. Enjoy these photos. I am not one to sit still for too long, so out of 40 pix, these were the best so far…I’ll have to learn to be a little more patient with the camera. You should understand, however, that I AM beautiful! My foster dad calls me FOXIE ROXIE!
Have a golden day!
