Roxy (Wren 13-149)

Profile

Please welcome Wren into the RAGOM world. Wren is one of the puppies from Mary Sue 13-118 born on May 19, 2013. She, along with her 8 brothers and sisters, was born in Kentucky before her mama could be brought to Minnesota. Wren has some Golden Retriever in her since Mary Sue is a golden mix, we just are not sure how much as her father is unknown.

Wren is a dark brown and black fuzz ball with light brown front feet and white tips on her back feet. She looks very like her brother Drake 13-154 and her sister Cinnamon 13-153 with one of the biggest differences being the white in her cheeks which is much more prominent than in the other two and she also has white on both of her front feet. Wren feels like one of the tiniest, and at her 4 week checkup she weighed in at 3.04 lbs. She is a good little player and is often the first of the group to crash after playtime. In the pile of puppies picture she is the brown girl at the very top.

We will keep you updated as this little girl’s personality comes out and she begins to explore the world.

This is Roxy’s former foster mom.  It was her 2nd birthday on May 19th and we wanted to send some sweet birthday wishes to this little girl as well as share a couple of pictures I have received.  Happy Birthday Roxy!!

Roxy has grown into a sweet, loving and well trained dog.  Her family adores her and you can tell that she feels the same way about them.  They recently added another RAGOM member to their family, little Gus 15-035 (now Buddy).  We got to see Roxy again when she came out to meet Gus – the last picture is of Roxy and Buddy on the first day that they met.  They are now great friends and playmates.

When Roxy came over to visit we were so surprised to see how similar she and Cinnamon looked.  The only real difference is the ears.  Roxy’s ears stick up (and are so adorable) and Cinnamon’s stay down.  It was so fun to see her again and we hope to see her and Buddy at Goldzilla this year.

Little Wren has been renamed Roxy.  Such a cute name for this little girl!  She still has the tail that wags the most when you say hello.  It almost looks frantic with how fast it goes.  Like her brothers and sisters, Roxy is getting so much bigger.  We weighed the puppies on Sunday the 14th when they turned 8 weeks old and Roxy is the smallest girl coming in at 8 lbs even (littlest – 7.4 lbs, biggest – 10.6 lbs).  She is still spunky and a good player.  She is going to have so much fun with her new two-legged siblings.

Roxy was spayed on Wednesday the 17th, and has been picked up by her new family.  From her little white chipmunk cheeks to her sweet puppy kisses and super waggy tail, we are going to miss this little girl.  She is going to a family that will take excellent care of her and give her a great life.  We wish Roxy the best of luck and hope she knows that we love her dearly.

Hi everybody!!  This is Wren.  I get to write my own update today.  Foster mom (FM) is taking a break and letting us pups tell you what is new.  I am pretty excited as I have a lot to tell you.

There were bunches of people that came over to play with me and my brothers and sisters this weekend.  I gave them lots of kisses whenever I had the chance.  None of the people that came over wanted to take me home with them.  I don’t know why. I am tiny and cute and so happy to see new people.  FM says I am the tiniest of the girls and that it is a toss-up whether Drake or I am the smallest of everyone.  My sister Cinnamon says that means we are extra easy to snuggle since we are so small and I completely agree with that.  I love snuggles, especially in the mornings.  Later in the day, its great sitting on someone’s lap and watching everyone play.  I watch to see what games look like the most fun and then I will leap off and go play.  FM says I am a little clumsy but cute when I do this, but I think that it is just because I am so tiny and it is a long ways down from people’s laps.

FM says that I have the wagglest tail when I say hello.  She will scoop me up for morning hellos and she says my whole body wiggles with my tail.  I am just so happy to see her that I cannot help it.  I am that way with everyone.  I have been told that I am a champion puppy kisser too, but FM tells people to watch out because apparently I have a speedy tongue and will stick it in your nose if given the opportunity.  I don’t see why that is a problem.

I wake up before my brothers and sisters often.  I don’t know why they all want to sleep the day away.  I am pretty content to sniff around or chew on a bone or stick while I wait for them to wake up.  Then after they do wake up and we play a bunch I am the first to go to sleep again.  I don’t know why they cannot return the favor and leave me alone with I am trying to sleep.  I seem to get pounced on a lot while I am trying to take a nap (Romeo – I am talking to you).  Other things will wake me up too.  Dog barks, lawn mowers and roosters are all things that will startle me awake.  Most of the time though, I am so sleepy that I will just lift up my head to make sure everything is okay and then I will go right back to sleep.

We have a vet appointment this Wednesday for our six week checkup.  FM told us about this adventure, and I think I am the only one looking forward to it.  I want to prove that I am bigger than Drake.  Ace also told me that this means that we are getting big enough that we will be able to go home to new families soon once we find them.  I am so excited – I want a family to call my own so badly.  Please oh please pick me.  I am super cute and fun to play with and promise lots and lots of puppy kisses!!
