Rufus 10-067

Profile

We picked Rufus up at animal control in Isanti on Sunday 2/28/10. He was a stray that was not claimed, so therefore he has an unknown history.

He was friendly and loving right from the start. He rode in the car quietly and seemed to enjoy it. He gets along well with our male golden and our female golden mix. He weighs 70 lbs and is between 3 1/2 to 4 years old. He is friendly and loving and sticks by my husband or me. He got neutered on Wednesday and is still healing so we've had to keep him somewhat quiet. He is up to date on his shots and is healthy.

He does jump up on people and counters, so this needs some work. He walks well on the leash, knows sit and down, and has not had an accident in the house. He is kennel trained. He loves attention and seems starved for it. He is a very nice boy, and will be a great pet.

Hello,

It is with great sadness that I let you know that our beloved rescue dog Tucker passed away yesterday.  He was the sweetest, most gentle dog ever!!  I miss him terribly.  He first got sick on September 30, 2016 and had struggled since then. We had to make the decision to put him down yesterday.....it was so hard, but he was suffering (vomiting, diarrhea, lost weight, lethargy).  Blood tests showed that something was going on with his liver.  I told Tucker yesterday that because I love him so much, I need to let him go.

Please see the picture below.....he was so sweet, loving, gentle and funny!  When he was happy to see someone, he would swing his hips as he ran towards them :-)

Tucker's DOB was listed as 10.10.06 and we adopted him from foster care from Veronica and Steve P. on 3.20.10.  Tucker's RAGOM # was 10-067.  His RAGOM name was Rufus, but we changed it to Tucker. He was a dog on the run, so I am thankful we were able to adopt him and give him a good home and the life that he deserved.

Thank you, RAGOM, for letting us be a part of Tucker's life for almost 7 years.  He has always been by my side with unconditional love!
