We are so pleased to welcome one of RAGOM's newest pups, Sebastian 17-050A. He was rescued along with mom, siblings and other adult dogs from an auction being held in Missouri. We've had Sebastian for almost a week now and he is a bundle of pure puppy sweetness. He is named in honor of the individual who generously donated to RAGOM so we could purchase these puppies and get them to loving homes. Sebastian is a golden doodle, almost 12 weeks old and about as sweet as can be. We also have his littermate, Tim 17-051A, and Sebastian is just a hint darker than Tim when they slow down enough so you can compare them. Sebastian loves to sit in your lap for indulgent petting and also loves to play hard, wrestle with his brother and chew on toys. He is energetic and playful and then all of a sudden he disappears and you find him taking a nap in his kennel. Smart puppy!

He is an energetic eater and is starting to figure out this housetraining business but it's still a work in progress. He's just a young pup and is still working on the routine, we're confident he'll figure this out in time. He loves going outside and playing with our resident dogs - he's fearless - climbs stacks of stones and tries so hard to carry big sticks like the big dogs. He's so cute.

Sebastian is a bit more cutious than his brother Tim. Tim will be the first to explore a new space or try something new where Sebastian will hold back and watch for a bit. Last night, the two puppies were eyeing a toy that one of our resident dogs was chewing and the resident dog gave a good, loud woof to tell the puppies that they should leave him alone, that the toys was his. Those pups thought the world was coming to an end - they howled (loudly!) and ran as fast as they could to their kennel. I'm not sure who got there first, but they were puppies on a mission! It was hard not to laugh, the resident dog did just what he needed to teach the young pups and I'm fairly confident they both learned that lesson!

Sebastian and his brother will go to the vet on Monday and start their course of vaccinations and if all is well, we'll schedule his neuter appointment as well. We'll keep you posted as to how he's doing!
