It is with a very sad & heavy heart that I needed to help my Timbergirl cross over on 1/1/17. She made it thru the holidays but she finally had enough pain and she looked me in the eyes, something she had never done before and I knew she was telling me it was time to end her pain and let her run free.
She had kidney disease stage 4 .IMPA disease since 2013. She also had arthritis on 1 of her hind legs. She was my 5th foster dog and I knew when I fostered her that she was home to stay. She lived to be 10 1/2 yrs old. A very spoiled girl. She let all the foster dogs know she was the queen of the house. She will be missed a lot, but she lived a great life and never wanted for anything. She is running pain free and eating all the kibble & grass she wants with her fur-friends Champ-Nick- Ender-Shorty. This was a very hard decision to make but I knew it was the right one for all of us. Many tears were shed before during and afterwards. The University of Minnesota was very compassionate helping us with Timbers crossing. We always talk about quality of life. She had 9 great years living with us. I would rather suffer than have her be in pain. Run free Timbergirl. We will see you again soon. I have included a few pictures. She so loved the snow. Waiting for the ball to be thrown in her backyard during her younger years. She also loved to spend time with our senior residents when she came to work with me which was a couple times a week. A lot of extra attention. Timber will be missed a long time by our family. But I keep telling myself shes pain free now! Barb & Dewayne, fosters and adoptive parents
