Wilson is doing great in our home and has charmed us with his goofy, silly, happy go lucky outlook on life. When it comes to play, he is a self-starter. We will be watching TV in the evening and Wilson will pick up a ball or tug and start throwing it around. Wilson is the definition of "joy" when he is playing. He still is startled easily, but we are hopeful that he will soon get over that. His favorite thing to do is run outside with the other dogs to play in the snow. We have discovered that he "loves" squeaky balls!!! He carries them around so proudly and gets silly when he accidently "squeaks" it.
Wilson is ready to go to his forever home. He is HW negative, neutered and UTD on his shots. He did wonderfully with my grandchildren at Thanksgiving so I'm sure that he would do well with small children. He is not hyper but he can be a Velcro dog and follow you from room to room. Wilson does have a slight heart murmur, but my vet assures me that Wilson does not need to limit his activities at all. He should live a normal life span for a Golden. Wilson is highly food motivated, so it should be easy to train him to commands. He will run to you when you call his name and he will sit, but not 100% of the time. Wilson is a work in progress. He would be perfect for a family who likes to train their own dog or a family that is willing to take him to obedience class. If you would like to meet Wilson, please email placement
