Who would like some Brandy for Christmas?!? I should just let you know that it is not the kind you drink though! :) I know, I know, ha-ha! Silly FM is always making jokes. :) But just look at this picture and try and resist!
Well, Brandy is just doing wonderful! She has made such progress that I wish she would teach some of our resident dogs the manners she has! She has realized that she will be fed twice a day and that there is no reason to try and gulp down her food. She also is not putting her paws on the counter when we are in the kitchen and try to take food! Such a BIG change! I am so proud of her! If FM or FD tell her "out" from the kitchen, she will immediately turn and leave and go and lay down in the living room. Such a sweetie pie! I think that occasionally she will try and sneak food, if we leave it out on the counter, and we are not in the room. I told FD not to leave his apple cake on the counter, and I THINK Brandy sampled a little. And I mean it was very little. But, we were not in the room, so maybe it was someone else too! One of the resident Retrievers has put her paws on the counter and taken a piece of food before, so you just never know! :) Also, the cats will jump on the counter and check for food too :) We rarely leave food out.
Brandy takes treats ever so nicely! She is such a lady! She will very gently take them from your hand and eat them.
She also wants to PLAY! And PLAY! And PLAY!! You would NEVER guess that she is going to be 9. We are sooooo amazed by her! She bounces around the house and grabs Kong's and other toys and tries to get FM to play. We have taken them all outside and played fetch with them and she is really loving running around through the snow. I think that sometimes she has more energy than our 2 younger resident Golden's! :) She is totally housebroken, and has full run of the house while FM and FD are at work.
Just because she will be 9 in a month, PLEASE don't overlook her or ANY of the Senior Golden's. Like I said, she is so active and loving! They are just well matured! :) Please contact your placement advisor if you think Brandy is the girl for you.
