Our beautiful Teddy crossed the Rainbow Bridge today.
1.5 years ago he was diagnosed with a slow growing liver cancer. He was fine up until about a month ago when his liver had a hard time processing fluids and the fluids were building up in his belly. We had the fluid drained 3 times but each time the build up occurred in a shorter amount of time. His liver was now fully involved with cancer and it was getting harder and harder for him to move around. He also had severe arthritis in his wrists and we had to make the best decision for him. We adopted Teddy almost 11 years ago and we estimate he was 13 years old. Teddy had a great life going on camping trips, swimming in his own backyard pool and having fun with all his cabin friends both human and dog. He really enjoyed swimming at the cabin and would often walk himself down to the lake for a dip. Teddy did many RAGOM home visits with me and helped other rescued Golden's find their forever homes. We miss his beautiful face. |
