Buddy is a 10-year-old purebred male. Sweet and gentle and 82.5 pounds. Neutered. Up-to-date on all of his shots and heartworm preventative.

He has settled in nicely after arriving on June 14th. Buddy must be adotped with his brother, Griffin . They have been together since birth and cannot be separated.

Buddy needs daily exercise. Ideally, he needs a walk in the morning for about a mile to a mile and a half and another walk after dinner. Both walks should be done before it gets too hot. The ideal owner would work from home for most of the day or be home full-time. If not, Buddy needs a dog walker at midday. Buddy has storm anxiety and needs a Thundershirt. He will go into the bathtub when the storm is approaching. Good to have someone home when the weather looks bad. He has taken some natural storm chews and that seems to help. He will go back in two weeks for his Bordetella booster. Buddy would do best in a home with no cats. Buddy does well with adults and children. Buddy needs eye drops twice a day for an eye condition. His increasing lack of sight makes him slightly anxious. He is very well-trained, smart, and would be a great companion. I would like a physical fence for him in a medium to large yard.

Buddy enjoyed his time at the groomer this week and he is more handsome than ever!

If patience is a virtue, than Buddy is virtuous! I know I have said this before, but he would be an unbelievable companion and so very loyal. He is a little more independent than his brother, Griffin, and does not follow me quite as much. He loves stuffed animals, but needs to be supervised when he has them as he can start to destroy them a little bit.

He needs his daily walks and people around fairly often to keep him happy. Buddy loves his brother, Griffin. Buddy is in the foreground.

Buddy is the sweetest, most graceful big boy. He continues to settle in and enjoy his new foster home. Walks and cuddling are his two favorite things besides lounging in the backyard. For a 10-year-old, he is in great shape and may have even dropped a few pounds since he arrived. He is on a great senior food and that seems to have benefited him. The fireworks, however, were rough in spite of the Thundershirt and calming chews. He is glad it won’t be another year before he has to experience it. Thunderstorms are still hard on him and we have been very fortunate to be home with him when they have occurred. Buddy will have a trip to the groomer on the 10th and his Bordetella booster on the 17th. He gets his eye drops 2x a day, but is very compliant and lets you do it with ease.

Buddy loves to grab a few shoes when you come home or when he knows he is going on a walk and even when everyone wakes up in the morning. He doesn’t chew them, just carries them proudly.

We love this boy and know that anyone who is lucky enough to adopt him would too. He loves his brother, Griffin 15-132, and they must stay together.
