Maisy is a stunning blond bombshell of a girl! Maisy is a 4 year old PB Golden Retriever, she is spayed up to date on all her vaccines is heart worm negative. She is getting along great with all four dogs and enjoys playing ball and running with her squeaky snake toy. She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys the water. She is a fan of children in her previous home but because of her enthusiasm she could easily knock little ones down. I would say older children would be safe. She loves the water and really needs the exercise. Once she has had her morning 3 mile walk she settles down nicely in her crate for a nap. She respects baby gates but does not respect the cats in the house. This will be a work in progress but she really wants to please so I think in time she will master that also. Maisy has been a lovely house guest. She is learning to keep four paws on the floor and not to try for things left on the counter. It is hard to believe she is four years old she looks and acts like a puppy.

Maisy does have allergies and is now on a non steroidal medication two times a day and a special food to help with all the itching, She has responded very well to the medication and we are hopeful this will get all her allergies under control. She will need a home who is able to keep her on the medication and provide the special diet she may likely need for the rest of her life.

Things may change as we get to know her better. In the meantime enjoy her pictures.

Maisy was adopted today by the M family. Her new little brother Charlie loves her already and they are a perfect match. FM will miss her little blonde bombshell but I know she is in for a wonderful life! Hope to see Maisy and Charlie at Goldzilla!

Week two with Maisy has been going very well. She is walking nicely on the leash next to you with a flat collar. I took her down to the Two Harbors Lighthouse on Memorial weekend. There were kids, bikes, cars, boat trailers, dogs and lots of people. She was interested in everything and everyone wanting to have people love her up.

I also have found out she is terrified of gunshots. Her previous home said she was afraid of thunderstorms and loud noises. I assume it is similar with the gunshots. The good news is if she can just lay down by your feet she is fine or in her crate in a quiet room with another calm dog also works.

Her allergies are now under complete control with her medication and special food.

Please notice I have changed her status as she cannot go to a home with cats. She is fine with dogs but she does play rough. If her adoptive family has another dog it will need to be one that is very playful and wants to interact in wrestling or a good game of chase.

Please let your placement advisor know if you are interested in this beautiful girl.
