Please welcome Pandy to our RAGOM family. She is a three-week-old puppy coming to us from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation located in South Dakota. She weights 3 pounds 6 oz. Her mother was not taking care of her, so for her own safety, she was surrendered to RAGOM.

I have a big job ahead of me. Caring for such a small puppy takes a lot of time and energy. Feeding every three to four hours. Making sure the temperature stays consistent and cleaning up after her. With all the attention she is getting, she is going to be one spoiled Girl!

She is taking her bottles really well. She sleeps a lot of the time and is just starting to play with some toys. She is walking around, but falls down often. Hard to believe in a few short weeks, she will be a very different dog. They grow so fast.

Pandy will need to stay in foster care until she is 8 weeks old; that will be the first week in January.

Are you ready to bring a puppy into your life? This is one sweet Girl! If you would like to meet Pandy, please contact your placement advisor.

Puppies change a lot in the first few weeks of life. Check back often to watch Pandy grow!

Updates

Monday, January 12, 2015

Pandy had her spay surgery last week and is now ready to go to her adoptive family's home.

She is a playful puppy and has grown so much in the short time that she was here. She is now over 12 pounds and a big fluff ball.

She has gone to live with a family that has a older Golden boy, so Pandy will have a playmate to keep her company and busy. She will also be spending some time at her family's lake home. I'm sure she will love that!

She is such a lucky girl. I know she will have a great life. Thank you to the K family for giving her such a great life!

Pandy's new name is Dakota, and they will call her Kota. Dakota because of where she came from Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota, and Kota which means friend.

Pandy is growing nicely! She is gaining a few ounces each day. She is walking really well now and is playing with the resident dogs. She still sleeps a lot, but her awake time is stretching out.

We have set up a play area for her and are using a potty pad. She is not ready to go outside yet. That will come in a few more weeks. She is using the potty pad about 60% of the time! That is good for her age; she will have that up to 90% soon.

She is a lot of fun and a very sweet girl. Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy.
