Shark is being fostered with Sebo (14-331) and these fluffy boys were separated from their brothers and sisters on Sunday, November 23. They are very happy to have each other for company and love to chase one another and chew on each other's faces and legs.
Shark went to the vet for the first time on Nov. 26. He rode nicely in small carrier with his brother. He weighed 8 pounds (but he continues to gain weight every day) and was micro-chipped and had his first puppy vaccinations (booster due in 3 weeks). He was also dewormed. Shark was diagnosed with Round Worm and will be given additional treatments for the next few weeks. He will also be treated for Coccidia because Sebo (14-331) was diagnosed with this parasite.
He has had several other car trips since his outing to the vet - and each time he seems to settle in and take the trip in stride. Shark attended a thanksgiving gathering with 20+ adults and 10+ kids and was very chill with meeting new people and being held by lots of kids.
Shark is enamored with the large resident female, and since he has figured out that he cannot nurse, he is content to chase her tail and follow her around the yard. Shark is brash and independent and LOVES to explore. He seems to like to develop "obstacle course" games for himself and dives under the furniture or runs circles around the shrubs in the yard.
He sleeps well through the night. And will cry to go outside if he is in his kennel or play yard. If you pick him up and take him out - he does his business almost right away.
These silly, cuddly boys love to give kisses and to be held for short periods of time - but prefer to curl up with each other in their play yard at nap time.
Shark is eating like a champ - and has already grown considerably in the last week. Seems like every morning when I go to pick him up he weighs more . . .
