I'd like to introduce you to Keno. Look at that cute face, this little guy is a bundle of energy. He loves, loves, loves to play and he will play by himself or also with other dogs,he likes one of our resident dogs, Finnegan although I sometimes think that Finnegan wonders who the heck he is at this point. He likes play outside and just hang out with his "foster brothers" as well.  He has been with us since Saturday (Sept. 20th) and he is a pure joy. There are a few things we are working on at this point in time. He loves to explore and put things in his mouth like blankets, socks, towels you name it, but he is so darn cute and a simple "no" at this point is getting the point across for him. He sleeps through the night after he gets a treat and at the beginning here, he has been sleeping in his kennel while he gets used to our home. He is a joy to have around the house and he is never far from either my husband or I or our three resident dogs.

Hey, Keno here....Foster mom had to step away, there is a lot of action here with three residents, Casey and I have gotten into a couple of little tussles over some toys, but foster mom steps in and helps out and we get it squared around. I'm hoping to be at the meet/greet in Coon Rapids  this Saturday  after I get checked out at the vet. I'll keep you posted on life at the Hellie household, so far so good. They have good treats and foster dad likes to wrestle with me which of course I love to do!!!! More to come in a few days.

Well, this is Mr. Keno just relaxing, you can't look at those brown eyes and not get a smile on your face for sure. Keno went to the vet this morning and passed with flying colors, his roundworm and Giardia are both gone. He is just a happy boy. He still has some puppy in him and while his records say he is two, the vet thinks he's more like 1.5 years....either way he is a HAPPY boy. He is very inquisitive and while our three resident dogs pretty much tolerate him, you would think that Finnegan (our field spaniel is his best friend.) He will get out of the puppy stage I think as he gets a little older, he knows how to go in his kennel for his breakfast/dinner and he also knows that he gets treats in there when we are at work. A couple of things that I have noticed is that sometimes you have to help him when he goes out to potty and it is best to have him go out to poop right after he eats.... he walks on a leash very well, doesn't pull at all and wants to smell everything. He met some neighbor kids last night and all I could see was the fact that he wagged his tail and got excited, I think having kids around the house as well as other dogs would be a great thing for this playful little guy. He weighs in at 41 lbs and the vet said he is right in there for weight, I can't think of a better little guy as part of a family. An added addition would be to go to puppy or youngster class to teach him some refining. He does know his name, knows sit and outside, I'm pretty sure he knows TREATS also. He likes to be by you if you are doing some work or doing something, he will lay down and take a rest, but still observing everything for sure.

He will be at the meet/greet next weekend in St. Paul, if you want to see an additional potential great member to your family, then this boy is it. That's all from the H household now, We'll keep you posted. We are working on his chewing behaviors and getting him to direct his teeth to toys, etc instead of shirts, shoes etc.

Hi there everybody:
Well, Keno will write a little bit and I will write a little bit. As you can see by this fun pic, he is very interested in other dogs and he especially likes our resident Finnegan, although I'm not quite so sure Finnegan feels the same way....anyway, Keno is about the same size as Finnegan is and he weighs about 40 lbs, I'm not sure he is going to get much bigger, he might get a little bigger, but he's just a curious guy. There are a few little things to know. He is really good at going potty although sometimes he needs to be reminded when he goes out there, I actually say "Go poop" or "Go pee" and he gets it. I also take him out right after he eats his supper because that seems to work at keeping him on a schedule. He's good around kids as the neighborhood kids have been around him and he was just as happy as you please, he has not been cat tested at our house, but knowing his personality, I don't think that would be an issue, I think he likes four and two legged creatures and folks all the same. As for other dogs, he really likes being around other dogs, but I think that if he were the only one, that would not matter to him either. I just think he would be happy either way. He is still a youngster and he does have a lot of energy, but he sure likes to be laying down beside you as well, escpecially if he has his blanket.  As for a fence, it would be a plus, but he walks great on a leash and if he is exercised, that youngster energy will keep itself in check.

Hey, Keno here, don't forget to come out to Roseville on Saturday...FM and I will be there for sure and I would love to meet you. It's getting supper time now and after that, solid hours of play time and running around. I like to sit on FM/FD porch and just watch the neighborhood. I'll probably collapse in tiredness again at the end of night after another good day, it's great to be in a home...
Stay tuned from the H house and Keno.
