Jordan 14-210

Profile

In addition to LOVE this dog has the following requirements:
Entered Foster Care Fence Kid Friendly Another Dog Cat Friendly
8/17/2014 Recommended Not tested Not required, but he'd love it NO!
This is the most recent information available; however, it may change as we learn more about the dog.

Please welcome Jordan to the RAGOM family! Jordan is approximately 1 year old. He is a male Golden Retriever/Husky mix and is extremely handsome! He weighs about 45 pounds, so is a good medium size. His fur isn't long, but it's thick and really soft, and look at that beautiful tail! He has one common internal parasite, coccidia (the medication will take care of that in 5 days), but other than that, he's in great health. Jordan was on the euthanasia list at a kill shelter in Georgia and was saved just in the nick of time. RAGOM agreed to help this pretty boy find a forever home.

Jordan gets along wonderfully with dogs. He and our resident dog love to wrestle and he wrestled with a larger dog too. If there's not another young, playful dog in Jordan's forever home, he would need to have a human who likes to take long walks or perhaps jog. Since he's young, he requires a fair amount of daily exercise. A tired dog is a good dog. :-)

We are working on Jordan's manners. In one day, he learned that he needs to sit nicely in order to get a treat, so he is plenty smart. He doesn't jump on people in greeting, which is nice. He's not very well-behaved while we are cooking, though, so don't leave any steaks on the counter.

We haven't had Jordan around kids or cats yet. He loves to chase squirrels and chipmunks, but that doesn't mean he would chase a cat. Jordan is still puppy-like in his chewing and will get a little mouthy with us, so, for the sake of the kids, he'd probably do best in a home with older kids or dog-savvy kids.

If you are looking for a young, healthy dog who is smart (and food-driven), contact your placement advisor and ask to meet Jordan.

Hi RAGOM, it's me Jordan! I have been busy this past month, I got to go to my foster moms hometown for two weeks for the holidays! I got pretty spoiled this Christmas, I got a 2 foot long rawhide bone, new dog bed, new leash, and sweater to wear on the really cold days. I even got to meet the REAL SANTA!!!

He really liked me and even let me sit on this lap. We are back home now and one of my new favorite spots to lay is in the shower, yes I know I am kinda weird.

I have been spending a lot of time with the neighbor doggy while foster mom works and we have tons of fun, running around and playing! Foster mom likes when I do this because then I go to bed early!

Hi, RAGOM! Jordan has had a busy few weeks. Over Thanksgiving, he got to go with one of his FMs to her family's lake cabin. He loved trying to run out on the frozen lake, even though he wasn't very successful :) It was a 5-hour car ride and he did wonderfully, watching out the window when he wasn't sleeping.

This week, he was going to go to the mall and get a picture with Santa, but they closed early, so he didn't get a chance. We were so bummed that one of his other FMs got creative and dressed him up in his outfit at the house and made her own version of a Santa picture! Honestly, is he not the cutest little guy you have ever seen?!

I know previously, it was written that Jordan does not get along well with smaller dogs, but this week, we have had a Beagle and a Pug in the house and they have been running around nonstop. Jordan knows that he can play with the smaller dogs, but he needs to be gentler.

This growing boy is still looking for his forever home! Let you placement advisor know if you have room in your heart and home for him!

Jordan has decided that he likes the snow, but not how cold it is on his paws. So, we are going to try buying him some booties and see if that helps him enjoy being outside! Jordan has been our foster dog for about a month now - this is what we think he needs in a forever family:

  • No Cats.
  • Kids would be fine, but not under 10 because he plays rough.
  • Another dog in the house who likes to play.
  • Someone who likes to run or spend time outside and would enjoy the company.
  • He is still a puppy, so has lots of energy that needs to be burned.
  • Have a home where Jordan is free to explore.
  • Not necessary, but he would love to continue getting to sleep on the bed or couch.

If you think Jordan sounds like a match let your placement advisor know!

Hello, RAGOM, it's Jordan coming to you live from Duluth!

This week, my foster moms thought it was a good idea to get me into the Christmas spirit and they got me Christmas PJ's and reindeer antlers! Surprisingly, I LOVE my new pajamas and I wear them to bed every night now, the reindeer antlers not so much. I am still looking for a forever home!

Wouldn't it be awesome for Jordan to find his forever home by Christmas?! Do you think that might be you? If so, contact your placement advisor and we can set up a meeting.

Hi, everyone...it's Jordan! I am perfectly settled into my new foster home in Duluth and I have 3 foster moms who love me oh so much!! I love going on runs down by Lake Superior with one of my Foster Moms. I can run for 3 miles before getting tired. I have a lot of puppy energy, so I need lots of exercise during the day or I like to stay up late. Foster mom has been letting me sleep in her bed with her and she keeps telling me that I am a bed hog (which I am not). This weekend, I saw snow for the first time, and I love to eat it! My foster moms have lots of doggy friends come over to play with me and I am always the perfect gentleman, and even let them play with my toys!

I'm already neutered, up-to-date on all my vaccinations, and ready for my forever home. If you think you can handle an adorable young man in your home and are able to keep up with me, let your placement advisor know!

This is Jordan. He is pretty much perfect, just waiting for his forever home. He does not look Golden, but he sure is cute, 42 lbs. of fun-loving goofiness.

Does it get any cuter than this?

A good puppy is a tired puppy. After much wrestling, Jordan (on the end table) and the resident dog take a nap.

Jordan was a complete gentleman at the Petco meet and greet. He was almost out-cuted by the 3 puppies there, but he held his own. He is really going to be a very nice dog.

Jordan is waiting to meet his forever family. He is very sweet, smart, and rambunctious. He loves to go on walks, and he loves loves loves his food and treats.

He doesn't look much like a Golden, but he is the most pleasing mix he could be.

If you have room in your heart and home for an adorable mix, call your placement advisor.

Hi, everyone!

All I can say is that I am a happy, bouncy puppy who pretty much lives to play and give kisses. Are you interested in a squirmy, goofy bundle of love? Well then, call your placement advisor - I am the pup for you!

P.S.: Call fast because I will not be available for long. Some lucky family is going to snap me right up!

I am practicing my obedience and leash skills. Today, we worked on the sit command and walking with a Gentle Leader. I'm bragging because I am one smart dog. I learned to sit after only two or three attempts. The hot dog rewards did help me a lot. I don't like the Gentle Leader. However, it does help me focus on walking like a big dog, instead of acting like a goofy puppy baby. The humans keep saying, "Good dog." I don't jump on folks with the Gentle Leader. I just focus on my business and do what these two-legged folks want in order to keep getting those yummy hot dogs.

I did so well I will be at Goldzilla Sept. 14. Check me out, the cute one with the curly tail.
