Alex is the best gift ever! He's so happy being in a home and having to choose between the sofa or a comfy dog bed. He greets me with a smile at the door and loves a good romp in the backyard playing fetch. We both love the outdoors and taking daily walks. I know he's happy, and I can't even express how happy I am having him in my life. Thank you Alex!!

Alex 14-201 continues to "blossom" in the comforts of my home, and I think he loves having all my attention and regular back rubs! We're both glad to have the dreaded neutering over (although I'm not so sure he's feeling "glad" just yet).
This past weekend Alex met Toby, a recently adopted RAGOM pooch, and after a few sniffs to check each other out they were ready to play! Alex, while cautious at first, was fine with sharing the house with Toby. There was no resource guarding, and they settled right into a routine of one on the sofa and the other on the dog bed. Then as soon as one got up, they switched places. Alex seemed to enjoy Toby's company and I think he'd be fine in a home with another adult dog who is somewhat mellow.
Halloween was an interesting test. Alex never barked when the doorbell rang nor was he "spooked" by any of the kids. Occasionaly he's a little jumpy when there's a sudden movement or noise, however. The couple of times I heard him barking was usually at deer in my backyard.
Alex has learned to ride in the car nicely but has not yet attempted the stairs. Everyone who has met Alex sees his beautiful nature and sweetness. He has wonderful manners and walks nicely on a leash. He's one of the easiest dogs I've ever cared for, and he will do best in a home, I believe, where he will not be left alone for many hours. While he is crate trained, he has been doing fine when left alone in one room of the house but he usually finds a shoe, glove, or something on a shelf to bring to his spot on the sofa or floor. (Yes, he does enjoy snuggling into the pillows of the sofa.) He has not chewed any items however. I suspect if given the opportunity, he would counter surf for food but the kitchen is off limits when I'm not at home.
Alex will be a wonderful companion to the lucky person who adopts him. In a few days when he's feeling back to normal he'll be ready to meet his future family. Will it be you?
