Levi has arrived!! He is an 8-week-old male Golden/Black Lab mix. His mom is a purebred Golden and dad a Black Lab mix. A bundle of fun and full of puppy kisses and bites. :) He is all black with thicker, Golden fur. He has a bit of white on his nose, tail, and chest.
He LOVES the snow and is so funny jumping around in it, wagging his tail all the time. He is doing quite well with potty training and keeps his kennel clean. Very friendly with people and dogs. He stayed overnight Saturday with a cat – no problems. We need to meet up with kids, but expect lots of love. :)
He is quite independent and knows how to entertain himself. He curls up next to me or my resident dog when he is tired. He is ready to play right away in the morning, and more calm and relaxed in the afternoon/evening. He takes many puppy naps! He is not afraid of loud noises (washer, vacuum, trucks).
So far, we are just working on potty training, what is a toy, and what isn’t to be chewed on… and how to spend the whole day having to play indoors when it is bitterly cold outside….. Levi and I can’t wait for Friday and warm weather! Can’t wait to see him play ball outside!

Levi has left for his forever home and we wish the best for him and his adoptive family.
We were so lucky to have him for a little while. The time seemed to go so fast. Well . . . it was fast. He was only here for a week and a day – just a blink of an eye in a dog’s life. But we certainly enjoyed having this little puppy around, even for so short of a time. And what a pretty boy he is!!! Just look at that wavy hair!
It has been a week today since Levi came to us from his temporary foster. It is SO fun to have a puppy around. A lot of work and attention, but very fun. Levi is 11 weeks old now. He is a beautiful little boy with a thick, luxurious coat and a sweet personality. He loves to play with our resident dogs – probably more than they want to play – but that’s a puppy for you. He seems to enjoy the snow, although we have had some bitterly cold weather that has been too cold at times even for our adult dogs. He is quite reliably housebroken – he came to us that way (thank you, temp foster). Levi will bark at the door to go out, so there is no question that he needs to go. I am pretty sure he will not be with us for very long. In fact, I am happy to say that someone is coming this weekend to meet him. It will be hard to say goodbye when the time comes, but Levi is ready to find his forever home and bond with his forever people!
