Cora (Dozer 13-151)

Profile

Please welcome Dozer into the RAGOM world.  Dozer is one of the puppies from Mary Sue 13-118 born on May 19, 2013.  She, along with her 8 brothers and sisters, was born in Kentucky before her mama could be brought to Minnesota.  Dozer has some Golden Retriever in her since Mary Sue is a golden mix, we just are not sure how much as her father is unknown.

Dozer is mostly blond with white patch on the top of her head and another on her nose.  She also has white feet and a little white tip on her tail.  Dozer likes her snuggles and she is also the first to start chewing on whatever shoes or slippers you might be wearing when you go in with the puppies.  At her 4 week check up Dozer weighed in at 3.65 lbs.

We will keep you updated as this little girl’s personality comes out and she begins to explore the world.

This is Cora’s former foster mom.  I wanted to share a couple of pictures I have of beautiful Cora since it was her 2nd birthday on May 19th.  Happy Birthday Cora!!

I hear from her family on a regular basis and she is still completely loved and spoiled.  When the puppies were close to a year old Cora also came for a visit.  Cinnamon and Cora clearly didn’t remember each other, but it was so neat to see the girls together and see how similar they are now considering how different they were as little puppies.

This is Cora’s former foster mom – I wanted to send off a quick note and a couple of pictures that I received from her family. Cora is doing wonderfully! She is truly loved and cared for and enjoying every minute of her life as a puppy! Cora is truly a member of their family and it sounds like she wants to be with them all of the time. Her 3 – 2 legged brothers and sisters have been wearing her out, which exactly what a sweet and playful puppy needs. There is a picture of her with a blue ball that is almost bigger than she is – they told me that Cora will push it around the yard like a seal barking at it. Recently one of her ears has started to stand up just like Mary Sue’s would. She is such a cutie pie and getting so big!

Our little Dozey girl has been renamed Cora.  This sweet, feisty, happy puppy has been picked up by her new family.  I have no doubt that she and her three – two legged siblings are all wearing each other out.  Cora is a super playful puppy and will thrive having so much undivided attention from her new family.  We weighed the puppies when they turned 8 weeks old on Sunday the 14th and Cora came out right in the middle at 9lbs even (smallest – 7.4lbs, biggest – 10.6lbs).  While she may not have been the biggest she has one of the biggest sets of lungs on her.  Cora wanted so badly to go with us every time we put her in the pen for bed.  I am glad that she now has a family just for her.

Cora was spayed on Wednesday the 17th and came through just fine.  Like with the other puppies you wouldn’t know that anything had happened.  Trying to keep her quiet was a challenge.  We will miss her so much and wish her all the best!  She was always there with ready puppy kisses whenever you said hello.  I think she is going to have Mary Sue’s ears when she is bigger.  Cora has started holding them back just like her mom and I can just imagine that one day they are going to flip up like Mary Sues. I am looking forward to see what this sweetheart of a dog grows up to be.

Hey everybody – it’s me, Dozer!  I get to do my own update and I am so excited!  I get so excited about so many things and foster mom (FM) says I am a happy and affectionate puppy all the time.  I think we are doing our own updates because FM wants to take a nap, but that is just fine because a lot has been going on.

We have had lots of visitors this weekend.  There were lots of people and kids to play with.  I loved everybody!!  I will jump in your lap as soon as I get the chance – I just have to kiss your chin (and then try to get to your pony tail)! I love to be picked up too.  The world looks better from up high.  Someday I hope I am as big as Aunt Sammy (the dog who lives here all the time), then I would be looking down on lots of things.  But who knows what I will grow up to be.  FM says she sees a lot of my mom in me.  I have white on half of my noise like she does and white feet too.  I also have a white tip to my tail – certain siblings of mine see it as a target and bite it a lot (you know who you are Gia and Nutmeg).  I don’t mind though.  I love to play and wrestle and chew.

We got some Nylabones from another RAGOM foster and they are the best!  There is a chicken flavored teething bone that is my favorite.  I will carry it around with me and sometimes I will share it with Wren.  FM says we are really cute when we are each chewing on an end of the bone.  We also got a revenge kitty.  It makes a squeaking noise and then I just have to attack.  We will all jump on it and try to pull off its arms and legs.  None of us are strong enough to actually destroy it yet, but we sure work hard.  I am not nearly as brave when it comes to actual kitties.  I have seen Gus (a cat who lives with FM and FD) and I am not sure what to do.  I just sit and stare or sometime run to FM for a little extra support.  He hasn’t stuck around very long, but he’s bigger than me… I better go practice some more on revenge kitty!

There were lots of new noises this weekend.  I am getting braver every day.  This Wednesday we have an adventure.  Ace told me it is just to the vet for our six week checkup, but I am still excited.  There will be lots of new people to sniff and play with.  I might even give out some of my puppy kisses.  You never know.  FM says I have grown a lot since I got to their house and now I will get to see just how much.

Foster dad calls me his little bull dozer because I will push through my brothers and sisters to get to you.  I want to be in your lap if at all possible – maybe to nibble on your fingers or ears.  I might not stay there, but I will come back again and again to play and get hugs.  I hear there are some people out there who want to meet me.  I really want a family to call mine.
