Mulligan 10-023

Profile

Please welcome Mulligan to the RAGOM family.  He is estimated at 2 years old and is simply stunning! He was found as a stray in -30 degree weather about a month ago and thankfully a wonderful family took him in and cared for him.  He has been treated for worms but has no other vetting so Monday we will be taking care of that as well as getting him neutered.

He came into our home without ever having been with dogs or cats and did fantastic.  He obviously lived in a home at some point as he is housebroken and will go in a kennel with a little coaxing.  He is very underweight so he is quite the chow hound and if given the chance will get on the counter.  More to come as we get to know him!

We wanted to let you know that we had to help Mulligan (Mully) end his time here with us after he was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma in January. We are so grateful that Mully was a part of our family for eight great years. He was a kind and patient soul who loved us, and his bouncy pup sister, dearly. Thank you, RAGOM, for bringing Mully into our lives.

Best regards,

Amy and Doug M.

Hi RAGOM!

Two years ago, we adopted Mulligan from RAGOM.

Mully has adjusted better than we ever could have imagined! He was a very shy and underweight boy when he came to live with us, and we figured he would always be rather skittish. Although he will never be quite the exuberant soul that his dog sister is, he loves us dearly and is one of the most patient dogs that we've known. He will now even wag at and sniff out men he has never met, which we never thought possible. He greets everyone with polite sniffing and wagging, and will be your friend for life if you talk to him and give him nice petting.

Here are a few pictures of him cavorting with his dog sister, Lola. (Mully is on the left in the photos.)

When Mully first came to live with us, he had a very stunted tail. I even remember his foster family telling us that a family came to look at him and decided against adopting him because of his little stubby tail. Ironically, he now has one of the bushiest, longest, and most luxurious Golden tails I've seen. A little love and good kibble goes a long way!
